The storefront looks like an ordinary fast food restaurant. This place has the best tacos I’ve ever tasted. I got the 1 pound of al pastor taco meat as a combo, which came with fifteen tortillas, chopped fresh pineapple, and separate bags of onions and cilantro on the side. I also got lime wedges and salsa. I didn’t bother with any sides, but it all ended up being more than enough food for two people. You guys! I never knew tacos could be this amazing! I thought I understood, but no. These tacos are all the way off the chain. The tortillas were soft and flavorful, the pineapple was perfectly ripe, the salsa was amazing, and all the flavors came together into what can only be the peak of taco flavor. It is the kind of place where you have to try to speak a little Spanish to communicate, but you can place an online order and go pick it up. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves tacos, so, almost everyone.

We heard about a place where you can get 1 lb al pastor. After searching, it was this place that offered it and I am so glad we went here! We got 2 lbs of al pastor to take home. It tasted so good and the meat quality was great! The only thing I wish it came with was tacos. We had to buy them separately but they were really cheap. I think it was 10 for $1. This place is located inside the Latino Mall. We definitely plan on coming back when we feel like feasting like this again!

Searching for a taco spot and tried this one for the first time today with my son. Have to go through the grocery store to find it tucked away.
Ordered #2 is a 10 mini street tacos combo for $15.99. We got 5 asada and 5 al pastor- can’t have tacos without a Coke in a glass bottle- absolute must!
We ate in and is served in a personal preference style with all fixings on the side for you to top it the way you like. Diced onions, cilantro, quartered lime, red AND green salsas and a side of salt. About as close to south of the border taste that I’ve had on this side. Gracias!

This place has AMAZING Al Pastor! We purchased Al Pastor con Piña y Queso (Al Pastor with Pineapple & Cheese) and it’s such a great value! The prices are a little more expensive than other taco places but the flavors really make up for it!

This is by far the best Mexican food in West Valley! The food is amazing and the price is great too. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food made with the freshest ingredients, you should definitely check this place out, but brush up on your Spanish before you order! My favorite are the tacos al pastor and the chorizo tacos. Don’t be fooled by their small size. They are quite filling. They also serve an amazing, fresh squeezed orange juice. While the restaurant tends to get pretty busy at lunch tine, I would still recommend this restaurant as a great place for a quick lunch.

Update, Feb 2026. Still got it. That al pastor torta with extra meat may be getting pricey, but damn is it good.
This place is on my short list. Delicious food. Great for a quick lunch during the work day. My current favorite al pastor in the valley. I usually get a torta, and it’s delicious. One thing though, of late, they have been going a little lighter on the meat in the sandwich than say, 6 months ago (second pic shows what I mean). But damn is it good.
If you like al pastor, and have not been here, give it a shot, it’s legit.

Welp, my search for the best Al Pastor taco in the city has ended. El Morelense is hands down the best I’ve had… maybe ever. The salsas are amazing as well. I can’t believe I’ve wasted so much time not eating at this place. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I tried the al pastor, lengua and the campechano. Campechano was very very good as well. I’m going to have dreams about these tacos!

Fantastic al pastor tacos complete with generous slices of pineapple that is just ripe. Double tortilla, nice portion of meat and tasty salsa bar with fresh limes and cilantro.
Been here several times and it’s always been a great experience and never had a complaint about the service.
Located on the east side of the Latino Mall and always busy when I’ve gone. And always a good mix of paisas and gringos so you know it’s legit.
