4 stars because the food was good but not the best I’ve ever had. I do absolutely LOVE the atmosphere and the restaurant itself. They have a couple spots to sit outside and also an indoor section. There’s also a separate bar section as well. It overlooks a river and you can pop down and go for a walk if you want after you eat! Overall pretty good… would love to use this spot as a venue for something!

Great place to eat with family and friends. El Monumento backs up to Blue Hole Park so it’s a great place to sit out on the back patio and enjoy the view. They recently paved their parking lot which is a huge improvement. The layout of the building adds a lot of character. With a stunning interior, the staff make sure your experience is great. Awesome Mexican martinis, queso and pretty much everything on the menu will bring you back for more. I chose the burger and it was so good. They do allow reservations which would be the best plan to make sure you can get a seat.

My husband and I were in town visiting for my birthday and this place was on the list! We first saw it on the popular show “DayTripper” with Chet Garner and knew we would make our way here. Situated near Blue Hole Park, the scenery alone was beautiful. We arrived and placed our name on the list and took in the sights. It wasn’t that long on the wait list and we were seated outside. Although it is summer time in Texas, the patio was well ventilated with fans and a great breeze. We were greeted by Madison and she gave great recommendations on the queso and cocktails. Which omg- the prickly pear margarita is a must try!!! The salsa is fresh and spicy which I love! The queso and chips were delicious and who doesn’t love handmade chips! I ordered the street tacos and street corn and made a happy plate. My protein was chicken and it is marinated to perfection! So tasty and I ate every single one. Add the red and green salsa and queso and it’s a party in your mouth with every bite. Husband ordered the torta with sweet potato fries and I couldn’t even get one of the fries before he ate them all . And to end the night we got a birthday dessert! Great food! Great atmosphere! You won’t be disappointed! We’ll be back!

We went for dinner. The food was fresh and the chips are amazing. We sat on the patio and the view is beautiful. The fans are a fantastic touch. Our server Grant was quick and made sure everything was great. I would definitely recommend asking for his section.

Awesome restaurant! Nicely designed and styled. I scarfed down my chicken flautas so I don’t have a picture! Haha! The frozen margarita was tasty. I liked how there was plenty of outdoor space here.

Had dinner with my daughter and grandkids-a group of six. We were seated on arrival (it was a Tuesday night) and our order was brought to us very quickly. Food was delicious.

Our go to Mexican restaurant close to home is always a good idea. The margaritas are expensive but vey refreshing; they have several flavors which are tasty. The service is good but the food is mediocre. We still come for the drinks and outdoor ambiance. We love sitting outside on the patio but they closed it down due to extreme heat.

This is a nice looking restaurant and the menu is diverse but overall the food is only okay. It does not taste authentic or even like TexMex. I recommend for brunch or drinks but there are some better Mexican food options in Georgetown.

This is a very good Mexican restaurant with delicious and generously portioned dishes – I ordered their beef enchilada which was pretty good – however I feel like it should be noted on their menu that it’s a pulled beef (not ground beef) – but it was still tender. They have happy hour as well and so they offer $2 off their margaritas which are awesome. Our server was also very nice and efficient 🙂

Guacamole needs salt. Be prepared for that. Order the mango margarita. It’s strong! I ordered the chicken fajita once before , and it was great. This time I had chicken tacos. Beans and rice were amazing! This place would be a great date night spot.
