One of my favorite spots to enjoy some wonderful colombian empanadas!! Grab a cold beer and some delicious appetizers that will fill you right up. Not pricey and great food. What more can I ask for.

When I was most in need of food, I found El Molinito. They spoke to me in Spanish and because I only speak limited Spanish, we met right in the middle. I tried the signature dish: bandeja paisa. Wow. I’ve never seen so many types of food on one plate. I ate the entire thing because I was famished and because it was some of the best food I’d had. I watched the Lakers/Warriors game and drank my lemon water. Gracias, El Molinito.

COLOMBIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – If your fellow breakfast diners are not enjoying dishes with eggs, they will probably have a tamal tolimense ($8.25) in front of them. This style of tamal is from the high altitude Andean department of Tolima, but has become popular throughout the country and in expat communities abroad. It packs a high calorie punch for breakfast, usually the heartiest meal in Colombia.

One on my favorite places to eat when I’m Pico.
The empanadas are the best I have ever tasted. I personally enjoy the Mango Leche to wash down the Bandeja Paisa with chorizo.
The staff is so nice and the food is always so great.

Prices are reasonable, lots of parking. Their empanadas were okay. Between two dishes I was going to get they were not available. Seating is very limited as the place is small.
