We had not been for many years and couldn’t remember what we didn’t like so went and were surprised. Great menu good service. Their whole cc system was down but even their tvs were frozen so was a true system outage and they were great. Enchilada were superb as were prices. Will be back soon

We had a large group, some locals and some from out-of-state, and the general consensus on the food was disappointing and lacking in what would be “normal ingredients” from any other comparable restaurant. Example, the carne asada burrito was a flour tortilla nicely wrapped around small cubed beef steak pieces, with no other ingredients inside; no sauce, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, or anything. The meat had a good flavor, but was ridiculously dry due to lacking any other fillings inside the burrito. There was lettuce, two very small slices of tomato, and a small slice of avocado on the side of the plate. I could have had a more complete steak burrito at Taco Bell for half the price and faster service. My son’s chile relleno had the typical ingredients, but was not flavored well and the cook left some of the seeds and stringy parts on the inside of the chili. He didn’t finish eating it, which is very rare for a teenage boy. Also, all dishes come with the chose of rice OR beans, not rice AND beans, which shocked all of us. Rice AND beans is a restaurant staple, and culturally have been the staple foods providing a complete protein profile that has kept cultures from Arizona down to the tip of South America alive and healthy for hundreds of years. Why short us on rice OR beans to save the $0.25 cents it probably costs to provide both?
The server was not overly friendly but not rude. We had a large group (we had a reservation so they weren’t caught unprepared) and the food came in a reasonable amount of time, but not quickly. One order was incorrect but corrected with much delay.
The building was nice and clean, that’s the positive.

The service at this place was horrible.
This guy comes and says the waitress would be with us in a little while.
No problem.
There was a party of 8 across from us that was taken care of immediately.
We waited and waited.
The gentleman comes back and says I will have take your order like he was doing us a favor.
Our meal came and our drinks,
My food was not piping hot it was edible,
He never came back to ask how anything was or do we need more to drink.
We finally seem him and asked for our bill which took the longest time.
Would never come back here ever again and would not recommend the place to anyone either.

Food was burnt. Waitress never came back to check on us. Poor customer service & the cook needs to do better. Surprised the manager only took $8 off my meal & I just ate the rice & lettuce.

This is the best restaurant in the world. We’ll be returning to Oro Valley again this July for the 2024 IECC Conference, and we will definitely be eating here again. Last time, we were in Oro for six days, and we ate there seven times!

Shared a great meal with my wife….she had the sampler which came with mini chimis and a shredded beef taco and rice and beans I had 2 cheese enchiladas and a ground beef taco with rice and beans both were $14.99 each….the hot salsa is really good. We will be back.

Walked in and was presented with a sewer smell. Not a good first impression, but my family and I really wanted to try this place. I was happy we stayed. Service was good and the food was also good. I think the red menudo could use a little more seasoning, but overall was pretty good. We’ll definitely be back.
