This place is incredible. Got a coupon in the mail for any nachos 50% off. Came with my grandmother and they have senior meals for 7.99 every day. She got the burrito bowl and I got Nachos Supreme. Large portions and incredible taste. Nice staff as well. Excited to come back for the weekend buffet, or maybe karaoke.

One of our favorite regular spots.There are many other Mexican restaurants close by, but we continue to come back to El Molcajete. The price is considerably lower, the servers are always super friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently good. They make a very good Jalapeño Margarita! They have a ton choices of Margaritas, but get one made fresh. You won’t be disappointed. The tacos are delicious- tons of flavor!
There’s a large covered outdoor seating area and when the weather is warm, there’s occasionally live music. Plenty of room for a group.
I notice some negative reviews from a while back. Don’t let those scare you! Admittedly, around 2021, the quality of the food declined, but it did everywhere! After the pandemic, restaurants were struggling! I can say the same for every other restaurant in town during that timeframe. But it was a brief lapse in quality and then everything improved. We eat there once a week and have enjoyed every meal for years.

My wife and I have been here a few times. It’s always good and the service is great. We’ve struggled to find a good consistent Mexican restaurant since moving from Texas. El Molcajete won’t disappoint. I got the Pollo Ranchero and my wife got Alambres. Both were very good. Good food a cold beer.

2nd left buffet trip and everything was just as wonderful as the first time! Also added pictures.
My husband wanted to try their lunch buffet while he was in town. We went in around noon on a Sunday. It was not very busy at all, 2 or 3 other tables while we were there. The host and waiter were very friendly and helpful. The decor and art was beautiful. The main areas and restroom were clean and tidy.
For a small buffet, they had a good variety of options and everything was hot or cold as it should be. Everything was fresh and delicious! I thought it was great, my husband thought it was good but a bit too salty. I can’t have anything spicy but he had everything with hot sauce so that may have been what was salty since I didn’t find it salty at all.
Overall a great experience and will definitely be back! But be warned, the bathroom was quite cool so the toilet seats are a bit brisk!

My new favorite!! They have an excellent health score, AUTHENTIC, the Aquas are fresh , the best hot sauce ever, everything was super fresh and delicious!!!!! I LOVE IT! 10/10 highly recommend!! Edited 2 show our 2nd trip which was amazing. I had the monster taco & my husband had the special dinner. Both were excellent!

The food I received is good, but I didn’t receive any pico or tortillas with my Molcajete Dip. Of course it was tied shut when I got there and I didn’t dig through it to make sure all my food was there. We went there because it was more affordable than Las Trojas, but very disappointed after getting all the way home and missing key components to my meal.

This was a great authentic Mexican restaurant (not that I’m an authentic Mexican haha). Typical lunch and dinner combos, the food came out hot and everything was fresh and delicious. I think the only thing that was a little frustrating was that they brought my wife’s quesadilla meat and all out well before her sides and even her shells (probably about 10 mins prior so we were concerned about things getting cold). Restaurant was clean, bathrooms were acceptable but could’ve been improved. Service was a little lacking. We didn’t seem to have a consistent waiter and several different people came to our table during our visit. We did not get steady drink refreshments. I’d say it’s a decent spot but I wouldn’t go out of my way for itll. Family of 4 spent $48. They do offer a military discount.

Everything was delicious! We had the lunch fajitas and split them and it was plenty of food for two people. We also both got a margarita a piece. Very fair prices and the chips were hot and fresh when they came out. The beef and vegetables for the fajitas was seasoned beautifully. The patio area is lovely and we will definitely be coming back! We also had great service!

I love this place! I wish it got more hype! The food is delicious, the prices are great, and the service is amazing! What else could you want! Plus the health score is great as well! The chips and salsa are AMAZING . I got the La Costa Plate and it may be my new favorite food. My family went here because everywhere else had a wait of 30-40 minutes, I was skeptical at first but I WILL be coming back!!
