We walked by this little spot downtown enough, we decided to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, right when you walk in, it smes like cleaning supplies, not delicious food, so that didn’t seem to set the right tone. Then, despite only 3 tables seated and 5 waitstaff around, it took 10 minutes to bring out our mojitos. For it being your name sake, they better be flowing!
Then another while before our food arrived. We did enjoy the bread and hot sauce served to us surprisingly and the food wasn’t bad, but was closer to room temp than piping hot when it arrived. It seemed the place was abojt to turn into a disco as theyre rolling out their little red carpet outside so maybe thats their strong suit..

El Mojito has the best drinks in downtown Melbourne! classic mojitos and guava cocktails are next-level refreshing and perfectly balanced. Yumm. The Cuban food is unreal too: authentic flavors in every bite, from the tender ropa vieja to fresh shrimp ceviche and palomilla steaks that melt in your mouth.

Decided to stop in while strolling by. Good smells, decent crowd, great tunes and solid vibe. At first thought we were maybe crashing private event, but no–it was jazz Sunday. What a treat. Had a couple of mojitos, enjoyed some great tunes, Lauren the voice that accompanied the band for several songs was phenomenal. Apparently also has a band and plays at Tide & Tonic. May have to check that out. Back to mojitos, good vibe, great crowd, bar tender was super! Friendly, cheerful, and most importantly made a proper drink. Hope to repeat in future.

Good Cuban food. Fresh and flavorful authentic Cuban dishes, appetizers, to entrees, as well as, dessert and coffee, of Cafe Cubano for dinner in the restaurant or enjoy the same menu on the bar side with live music. The mixologist are amazing. Make sure you get a Cecil’s Cyclone. Cecil makes them just right. Wednesday is an open jam; thanks to Ingrid.
