We were so excited about visiting this restaurant, after having lived in Miami Springs for decades.
We were seated immediately, just before 8pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was bustling and the server, Mery, did her best. Unfortunately, the wait staff cannot be held responsible for a slow kitchen. In the HOUR AND A HALF it took to receive our orders, at least two other tables of customers got up and left without having eaten. Mery apologized for the delay and offered to check on our meals a couple of times
The entrees, when they did come, were generous and delicious.. The man who I assume to be the manager is the one who actually brought the plates, but he never checked on us or made any attempt to rectify the delay. Even my husband’s side salad took the hour and a half to arrive and then it was not the salad he had ordered.
Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen or maybe this happens all the time. Mery said the hotel was at 100% occupancy, so maybe the kitchen just got overwhelmed. Whatever the reason, we won’t be back.

We arrived at the El Mirador during a canceled flight and stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel. The restaurant is located on the 9th floor. Great variety of foods. Excellent view. During the night we were attended to by Claudia. Super attentive and knowledgeable in giving menu suggestions. In the morning we were attended to by Malena, super helpful and friendly. I recommend stopping by to try the great variety.

I would never come here intentionally to eat, but being one of the best Holiday Inns in the area for transiting, there isn’t much choice but to eat here.
The food is at best mediocre and you KNOW something is dodgy when you order any meal and it arrives within 3 minutes. Obviously nothing is cooked from fresh and it really shows in the quality and taste. The only shining star at this restaurant is the hostess manager with glasses and dark pony tail. She is amazing and attentive and makes you feel welcome.
Also there is a dance floor adjacent to the dining area and they are ALWAYS playing extremely loud Spanish music to the point where it is nigh impossible to even have a conversation.

We had the quesadilla and Cuban from here for dinner. The quesadilla was made like they don’t have to pay for cheese and the sandwich was delicious. We came during happy hour and our drinks were fantastic. Would definitely eat here again!

This restaurant was great. The drinks were great and the food was awesome. Definitely recommend the Havana hamburger. My wife got the steak salad and it was great. Service was spectacular! Murat was our server and he was super. Great atmosphere on the 9th floor. Definitely check this place out!
