If you are on the I-5 or HWY 99 this is where we plan our lunch spot. The food is excellent and the people so warm and kind. I had the Enchiladas Trio: one cheese, chicken and beef. Each has a different sauce which perfectly accentuates each, the best combination I have ever had and I have had a lot of Mexican food in my life. The wife got from the special menu Enchiladas Morelia, hand made adobo tortillas with chicken, it was fresh, flavorful and fantastic! Highly recommend and we will stop here every time. (Update Enchiladas Morelia now on regular menu)
Seasonally available: Champurrado! Never had it before, it’s excellent! Chocolate, nutmeg, corn masa, and more! Way better than a pumpkin spice.

It is very good, the chilly Colorado is not only spicy but good spicy. There Chilly Verde is also the same. This is a must visit when in Shafter.

Absolutely delicious! The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. The chips and salsa were fresh and warm. My daughter ordered a meal and the server made sure to let her know it was extremely spicy. I ordered the enchilada salad which was a huge portion, was so delicious.

I have been these twice now. Once for dinner and today for brunch. It was a to go order and just got breakfast burritos. Very delicious, fresh, and their beans are BOMB! Not everyone makes good beans. If you know, you know. It is pretty small and crowded in there. Only downside. The staff is great. Same gentleman helped me both times and they’re very professional, kind, and you can tell they like what they do.

We don’t live close by but we always try to stop by when we are in the area because the food is bomb! Literally my favorite authentic restaurant hands down. Must try the micheladas, aguas frescas, chile verde burritos, guac with flour chips, enchiladas. I wish I lived closer!

Michelada and margaritas were great. Costillas con nopales were a bit salty but had good flavor. Guacamole dip with handmade flour tortilla chips were also great!

This is one of our favorite spots in Shafter! Everything is excellent. The heat level is up there. The salsa had a nice bite. The tortilla chips and guacamole are fresh made when you order and spicy. My omelet was fluffy and my husband’s was cooked perfectly as well. The chile verde was spicy and good balance between sauce and meat. The rice and beans were good as well. We’ve had the huge breakfast burritos, enchiladas, chile colorado, chimichangas, and other items on other visits and it’s always been delicious. Service is always great. They are quick, polite, and attentive.

I rec I recommended they speak Spanish in English they have great customer service prices for good because everything is freshly done you can ask for homemade tortillas or regular tortillas is our first time here and it was great I completely recommended

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The shredded beef is far more tender and juicy than most places. The menu had a lot of seafood options, along with menudo and some other items you don’t see in every Mexican food place.
