Beautiful spot. I was hesitant to go due to the reviews. However, you can tell the restaurant is trying to revamp the food and quality, as I ordered the skirt steak last night, and it was UNBELIEVABLE! It was so flavorful and juicy, and the sides were great, too. Honestly, it’s probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in quite a while.

Great place to come before a show. The patio is beautiful and the drinks, food and service were all great. We split the cheese crisp and got some burgers. Both were excellent. The only thing that was a little weird, was that we were told the drinks were taking a little long because the bartender had to run over to the liquor store because they ran out of tequila. I’m not sure how a bar runs out of tequila, or if they just ran out of one particular type of tequila and didn’t think to use or offer a different one? Either way, had never heard that one before. But the food was definitely good, and so was the margarita once it came. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but the flavor was there.

No service after 20 minutes. Ordered a drink that never came. Told hostess I was going somewhere else. She didn’t seem to really care and seemingly neither did anyone else around. Best decision I made tonight. Crossed the street and ended up in the most charming, welcoming restaurant “Coronet”. Had braised rabbit and a drink from heaven. There is a reason for everything and I I thank El Mesquite for it.

Came here on a weekday night. The place had scattered customers on the patio. I’d definitely recommend the patio. It’s very quaint.

Hotel restaurant and bar. Interesting but limited menu that is a bit pricey. The goat cheese salad was good, the fish tacos were ok but the beans and rice were bland and the chicken breast had too much smoke flavor. I would try the tamales or a burger with a salad if I return. Beautiful location to sit have a drink, including some good Mexican wine, and listen to music. Had live music on Wednesday, which is why we went.

Beautiful outdoor patio and music. Service was fantastic and food presentation spot on. The pork sauce was amazing and the wing seasoning was delicious. Chicken was juicy but a little bland. All in all great place for dinner for 2..

The staff is what did it for me. The food isn’t quite what I would consider “authentic” Mexican cuisine, but it was tasty. A cute “Date night” spot for sure.

Huevos Rancheros was a little mild and unbalanced. The crispy tortillas were placed in a position that made them soggy, too much Salsa Verde but overall it was good I liked the cook on the eggs and seasoning on the beans. I also got side potatoes that had bits that were very undercooked but the ones that were cooked perfectly were crispy and delicious. I think that the place has more to offer and there are other dishes that I would love to try to give this place an overall rating like the French Toast and the Benedict

We discovered the Mesquite Grill driving by and seeing the lovely, inviting patio! The staff we encountered were all really friendly and delivered service with a smile. My friend and I both got a burger accompanied by yucca fries that were absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back! Side note this restaurant is part of the new hotel by Tucson Convention Center

My sister in law brought us breakfast to go. Mesquite flour pancakes and French toast. I have not had such quality food in years or maybe never. Everything down to the fruit garnish was above and beyond quality. The meal was definatly worth the high price. We didn’t finish the pancacks untill 12 hours after they were made and they werd still the best quality.
