El Mezcal Lakeland has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for a long time. My family and I are regulars, and Marleen greets us by name.
Most of the time, we order take-out and my family and I tend to order the same items because they’re consistently good. The staff knows our usual orders so well that on the occasions when I change things up, they’ve even called to confirm the order to make sure it’s correct. If I forget to order something, they catch it and fix it for me because they know our habits. That kind of attention to detail is impressive and appreciated.
The food is always solid, but the customer service is what really stands out — friendly, attentive, and reliable. We’ve had nothing but good experiences here and would definitely recommend El Mezcal Lakeland.

Where do i begin with my favorite little restaurant El Mezcal? We’ll first i suppose would be how attentive and friendly the staff are! They are welcoming, warm, and quick to have you seated. The food is amazing, from the free salsa and chips, the quest is amazing, the entrees are large and fulfilling. I dare you to leave this restaurant hungry. This place feels more like family than a place to eat and I look forward to coming back every time!

I LOVE this place it’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in town and if you’re like me and you’re addicted to Mexican food, this is the place to go. I’m here probably three times a week and the staff knows me by name and order. They’re so sweet and friendly that I go out of my way to pass two closer El Mezcals after work just to come here. Having stopped here for a mid-afternoon meal, I can say that this is a great location with attentive service and very good food. The portion sizes are massive, and the prices are reasonable. Would recommend any of the three locations of theirs I’ve eaten at.

Pretty good food but relatively inattentive staff. I was seated pretty quickly as the restaurant was mostly empty when I ate there. The server was quick to bring my water and chips and salsa but I waited a solid 15 minutes or so to place my order. I had the Mezcal Quesadilla, which was pretty good and the portion size was good. I had to wait a while to get drink refills and a while for the check. Other than the wait I have no real complaints.
