Went with a friend after checking out the Christmas decorations at Gardner Village. Thought mixing soar cream with lettuce was weird. Otherwise tasty! Coke fountain was temporary unavailable. Pumpkin pie hand soap and tree in the bathroom was cute! Gives me a small family restaurant vibe over the big chains, didn’t realize they brought your food to the table, usually I don’t tip at fast food style places. When out that way, would surely visit again.

I tried this place a few times, and I just can’t justify the wait time, especially when it’s empty half the time. The food is fine, the staff is friendly, and the prices are average. I honestly would go back if they were faster. there’s another place up the road and they are so much faster for the same exact food.

El Mexiquense was fine. Staff was nice and the food was ready plenty fast. It’s just nothing special is all. You’re paying standard sit down rates but it tastes like street tacos. I paid $12+ for lunch, but could have paid $4 at a taco stand for the same lunch. I would be fine to go back if someone else wanted to go. But I won’t be pushing for another visit.

Randomly drove by and saw the tacos sign so I decided to stop. Loved all four of their salsa/hot sauces; they seemed appropriately marked for the level of heat and surprisingly I really enjoyed all four of them. I tried the Carne Asada, Pastor pork, and shrimp tacos.
The marinated pork was by far my favorite; I’ve never eaten a taco that I did not need to add some kind of sauce at you and this one was amazing!! The mango on top with the smoky marinade is the stuff dreams are made of. The shrimp taco had some kind of crispy grilled cheese on it and it was also really really good.
The Carne Asada was good too but not as surprising as the other two. They gave me chips while I was waiting which was a nice touch. Excited to go back.

There was a bit of a wait for the food despite being the only ones there. Food was alright. Complimentary chips were nice. Decent experience but don’t know that I’d ever go back on my own, I just think there are better options elsewhere.

This was a favorite spot when it used to be located in Sandy. We were thrilled when we found one out by Gardner Village. Delicious, authentic, great service!

Super authentic Mexican food!
Hands down, best molcajete around… it’s definitely something to “savor the flavor”…
Unfortunately they don’t have a liquor license, but the food and fresh homemade (fruit) waters are so yummy.
I get the molcajete so I can have leftovers for lunch since it feeds about 4 people. Always friendly staff.
