I recommend not eating here.
The service was very very slow. SALINA FOLKS MUST NOT HAVE MANY LATINO OFFERINGS HERE, BUT THERE’S NOTHING SPECIAL HERE.
During the service, I asked for a second helping of chips while I waited. It never came. The waitress asked me if I wanted water, then when I added I wanted a lemon, she just walked away. Very rude. The dinner wait was 1 hour. I understand you’re busy, but you’ve got to do better. Max wait for food should be 20 minutes. During that time, you have to ply your customers with appetizers if its going to be longer.
When the cashier/manager asked if everything was okay, I said service was slow. He unapologetically said it’s busy, and in broken English he said something like “we cannot help everybody. “
No apologies. No contrition. No attempt to assuage. This is the first Mexican restaurant that I’ve gone to — AND I’VE BEEN TO MANY– where I was GRAVELY DISAPPOINTED. If you’re busy, then by all means…. HIRE MORE PEOPLE. The customer’s needs need to be met in a timely manner, not because of poor management! BUSINESS 101.
I highly recommend another Mexican Restaurant in another town; the one in Beaver, Utah shines, and food served in 20 minutes without an attitude. The food here in “EL MEXICANO” is AVERAGE, compared to other places that wowed me.
I’m not patronising in the future. They should rename this restaurant “EL MEXICANO STANDOFF”.

Great atmosphere! Service is very kind, makes sure you’re taken care of. Food is amazing, orders are always right. Drinks are delicious. Food may be a little slow to get out, but it depends on what day or time you go. If you really need your food that fast at a sit down restaurant, Carl’s Jr. is right down the road.

This is a hidden gem! We make sure to go every time we are driving across Utah. The menu is huge and the portions are big. Everyone who works there is friendly. I thought the fajitas were my favorite, but last time the carne con chile rojo was even more delicious. The homemade guacamole was incredible, too. Be sure to ask for some chilis toreados on the side (roasted jalepenos).

If you are coming for delicious food and not for exceptional service or decor, this is the perfect place! The portions are generous and the food is scrumptious. We ordered steak fajitas and carne asada and both were really good. No alcohol but most people stop on their way driving somewhere else, so that’s understandable.

They forgot my tortillas with my order but the food was Awesome. Pork chile was tender and delicious, the beef chimichanga was good but the first time I got a Chimichanga that wasn’t fried. I thought that’s what made a chimichanga. The Coctel de Camaron was the best thing on the menu for a seafood dish it was phenomenal!! Highly recommend. Great salsa chips!

YES! This restaurant has great Mexican food. The portions are shareable, the flavors are bright and the prices are $9-$14.

¡Deliciosa! I placed a to-go order today with a very friendly cashier who happily answered all my questions about the menu. I ordered the Smothered Supreme Shredded Chicken Burrito. I only had to wait about 15 minutes for my order, which came with complimentary nacho chips and fresh salsa. Everything was so good!!! The burrito was huge! It was too good to waste, so I somehow managed to eat every bite. Thanks for a great lunch!

Very nice place for some authentic mexican food! They are really nice to your kids, and understanding if they make a little mess. I give them 4 stars based on the protein they cook up – something is just off. It is REALLY dry, and we all found ourselves needing to add a bunch of salsa to be able to get it down; flavor was good, and again we will need to come back to see if maybe we hit them up at a bad time.
