I’ve been here 9-10 times for dinner, and finally remembered to give El Mexicano the review they deserve so much. My family and friends love to come here when they visit. We have always had great service along with meals and drinks. The atmosphere feels like a Fiesta, and it’s a fun and cozy place any day of the week. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful, and sombreros off to the chef(s), because the food is always delicious.

Great Mexican restaurant. The food is genuinely delicious. I ordered the al carbón burrito — it came out in about 10 minutes. The portion was big, filling, and very tasty. The interior feels warm and authentic, and the Mexican music in the background adds the right touch. A place you’d want to come back to.

Enjoyed dinner with friends, restaurant was a bit full on Thursday night, we sat for a bit and it took several moments to be seated and a bit longer for staff to serve us, flavor is definitely present with fresh ingredients.
Portions were plentiful with just the right amount to fill any appetite. Dessert was fantastic!!

Stopped by this spot near a truck stop where I was killing my hours. Saw it on Google Maps with a solid 4⭐️, craving some juicy lamb or beef. Spoiler: we’ll keep that rating. Walked in blind—double doors, no windows—had to commit. Two paths, left and right. Left had high seats hiding the action, so I bailed to the right, found the cashier and dug into the menu myself. No swarm of waiters, which honestly felt refreshing. Got seated, waiter hit perfect timing. Apps landed in minutes, and my T‑bone steak with shrimp tacos followed fast. Loved the high seat backs—felt private. The table surface though… had that weird sticky coating, not dirt, just some finish that makes your hands second‑guess life choices. The T‑bone itself? A solid 3+, not bad but far from that juicy dream I wanted. Tacos? Meh, thin on filling, more like $4.50 quality than the price they ask. Service stayed sharp, checked in without being annoying. All in all, not mind‑blowing but solid—this place earns its 4.

I stopped in with my SO for lunch and had one of their lunch specials. The dishes we ordered were WELL portioned and included a fountain drink! One important note is that the plate of food with drink was much cheaper (8.95 + tax) than ordering a chalupa with chips/ cheese dip and SMALL fountain at Taco Bell for lunch the week before ($13.67 incl. tax). I was very pleased and I highly recommend this as a Great lunch stop!!

The decent ambiance, clean place, and friendly staff did make an impression But that’s not the most important thing you look for in a restaurant but the quality and taste of their FOOD. I must say they failed miserably in making the food at least as delicious as a fast-food restaurant. I don’t even know how to describe it since I don’t have a vast knowledge about Mexican food but within my past experiences at other establishments, I have to admit this one was the poorest of all.
