My three friends and I went to eat here last night. When we walked in it looked like just a bar, but a server showed us to a table in the larger restaurant area adjoining. The lights were off except over the pool table where some guys were playing. They turned on the lights and we sat down. We were getting signals that maybe they weren’t ready to serve food, but they seemed happy to have us. It remained cold in the room the entire time we were there.

After ordering waters, our server brought us 4 bottles of Poland Spring. I asked for tap, but she said they didn’t have it. There was a language barrier so we relented. We ordered three entrees: $12.50 for two chicken tacos, $17.71 for shrimp fajitas, and $16.67 for a “grande” nacho plate. Ordered the chicken topping for the nachos on the side, since one person was a vegetarian.

When our food came, the side dish of chicken looked like the scraps you throw away. The first bite of the chicken tacos had a bone in it about the size of your last pinky joint. The nachos were fine but not grande. The shrimp fajitas were passable.

Then we got the check. All it said was “Aguas – $20, comida – $51”. So our Poland Spring bottled waters were $5 each. I asked about this, and again the language barrier was a challenge. We tried to split the check, but the server accidentally put it all on the first card. At least now we had an itemized bill. On it you will see that our four Poland Spring bottles were now $20.84, as the tax had somehow been added to them above the tax line, so we’d get taxed on them twice. I also realized as I was trying to calculate what I owed my friend for reimbursement that our three meals came to about $47 – which is $4 less than $51 for the comidas. My friend, kind to a fault, had already tipped 20% on the full amount before I realized all this, so our total came to almost $87.

So to sum it up: really bad food, atmosphere, service – and they ripped us off with the bill.

Myself and four others visited there yesterday and I can’t wait to go back! The staff was amazingly friendly, our server Michelle was a delight and I absolutely loved her abs the staff. The FOOD was amazing! I enjoyed my veggie quesadilla so much – I got half of it to go and that is today’s lunch. My son loved his tacos and his friends loved their dishes as well. The flavors were both familiar and traditional and the presentation was so appetizing. We were paid attention to, and never had to ask for anything. Glasses were filled… and overall I felt like the staff actually was HAPPY to have us there. It felt special. This place was such an absolute delight and I can’t wait to go back!

I hate to do
This but o have to. I had one of the worst experience at This place. I work in the Norwalk area. And on Monday feb 5 2024 I decided to stop back for a quick drink before going home. They charged me 26 $ for what was supposed to be a double shot of Jameson. But in reality it was just one. And the lady who served me pressed me to tip her 20%. So you can do the math. And immediately they sent a lady at me asking me for but her a beer, the tiny one for 20$. I didn’t expect none of that because I knew that I went to a restaurant not a night club. But anyway I ended up buying her the beer for 10 $ and tip another 20%.
So within less than 10 mns I ended up spending over 50 bucks. I couldn’t wait to leave and will never ever go back to that horrible place again..

Eat here at your own risk. This place was absolutely terrible! I’m fine with day drinking but not at work and while customers are present. If wouldn’t have sat at the bar I don’t think I would’ve gotten served the waitress was so wrapped up in her enthralling conversation with friends that I barely got to order. While it turns out that was not a bad thing. I suppose since I wasn’t really greeted by her this roach decides to greet me instead. Wonderful! He came right out of the napkin dispenser. To my horror I ordered and received a beer a little before this bug popped out, you know what is used to “cover” or cork your beer after it’s opened here, napkins. Suffice to say, I will not be returning.

DO NOT GO HERE OVERCHARGE. Prices on the menu are different than the charges. We got overcharged (probably because I don’t speak Spanish or I’m white) severely by 40 dollars when total should have been probably 15 dollars by menu pricing. Place is dirty and looks like a club with no lights on, loud music and drunk people at 4 pm . Don’t go there. EVER.

Very few options to have a meal at after 10pm on a Monday night in Westport. I would not recommend this as a place for one. Seems visitors of this locale, at least from my experience, are seeking something else.

The food was very authentic, well presented, and extremely affordable. The down side is the place is basicly just a big room they use for dancing at night with tables haphazardly thrown about. The waitress seemed like she had never taken an order before but was nice. Great casual dinner but they should work on their atmosphere/decorations.

This has to be the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is horrible and the soup was about $8 for a nasty broth with a few carrots, celery and a nasty piece of chicken. It was a good thing they only gave half a container of it didn’t feel so bad throwing it in the garbage.

Very sad that they keep breaking Department of Health rules in regards to Covid. Being shut down twice, and receiving multiple warnings for continued violations, seems to say they don’t care about health rules or the well being of the community. It’s not fair to other restaurants trying to do the right thing.
