Food and prices were good, what a typical Mexican restaurant has and tastes like. However our waiter was very chaotic despite his good intentions. It was over 20 minutes to get our bill and then Togo boxes. It wasn’t busy at all either.

El Mexicano is a wonderfully refreshing and authentic Mexican restaurant. Their fajitas, tacos, queso, guacamole, and salsa are all delicious. Everything is fresh and tastes genuinely authentic. The atmosphere is super cool, with bright pink walls and art throughout the restaurant. Highly recommend and will be back!

Decent Mexican restaurant in Sanford Maine. Family owned, giving great service. Food quality is middle of the road. Some selections are very good and others are just blah. Rice and beans were overcooked and bland, but the salsa, queso fundito and margaritas were excellent. Worth a try.

The best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to (including other states). I’m vegetarian and I have multiple favorite go-tos on the menu. Quality is consistent. The service is always fast and friendly.

Loved my Cali Burrito. Good vibes. Getting the food was surprisingly slow even though we called ahead for take-out. Maybe we just hit the lunch rush? In the end the wait was worth it. Delicious and big portions. Would recommend.

I don’t give many 5 star reviews but my dinner here was excellent. Plenty of chips and salsa, delicious margarita and chicken enchilada plate and good service. Spare yourself standing in the line at the chain place across the mall and go here instead if you like Mexican.

Customer service was great, however the food was ok at best. Taco salad had a burnt shell and the sizzling fajita came out in parts each taking longer than the next. I was just about done my meal before my partner could even start theirs.
