The first time we went and ate in mediocre food. Nothing really great, but ok food. Service was good. The second time we ordered pickup. I got the Chorizo chicken and was not good. Chicken was extremely dry no cheese and it’s like they cut the onions without peeling them. We also paid for tortillas and did not get them. Will not be going back

I can’t even begin to tell y’all how much we loved El Metate #4. The service was nothing but friendly faces, smiles, and politeness. The food quality was unbeatable, full of bold, delicious flavors and some kick ass spice where it was warranted. The portions were too big for their own good, but that’s not a complaint. The pricing was also the best we’ve seen at almost any Mexican restaurant in the area. As a family of 5, we walked out spending only $95.00, and that included a $20.00 tip for our awesome server. I highly recommend you indulge in a meal here at least once.

Jose is the best !! Every time I come he makes it a pleasant experience! So attentive and makes sure I have everything I ask for . The everyday specials on drinks make me so happy I come everyday almost and I’ve never had a bad experience. 10/10 TRY THE CEVICHE!! I was skeptical but it’s worth it .Ask for Jose for best service , he’s amazing and will make sure your order is exactly what you want no exceptions !

My daughter and I love Mexican food. We visited El Metate last week, and OMG! We’ve been to El Broncos on watson, Margaritas on hwy96. Neither compared. The simple salsa and chips was freshly made… delicious. We had the chicken and steak fajitas and the house margaritas …. everything was SO TASTY! Great customer service, and we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Entrees was worth the $ we spent. Clean and cozy, with a authentic Mexican vibe .

Service was absolutely terrible. We got seated immediately but then waited almost 10 minutes for someone to come over to take drink orders. They weren’t even busy, 75% of the tables were empty when we went on an early Saturday afternoon. Queso dip was not enjoyable. Food was edible but not good. Salsa bland, not much flavor and the worst salsa I’ve tried in town. Music was WAY too loud! Restaurant service and food needs improvement.

I am Puerto Rican and gave out going to Puerto Rican restaurants in the estates, except Palermo Puerto Rican kitchen in FL. I prefer Mexican restaurants because their quality and offering are usually good and very consistent.
Now let’s talk about our take of the good and the not so good of this place. The food is excellent, fresh and well presented. They have a good variety of dishes to select from. I missed the guacamole made to order. Their guacamole dip is good but having that offering will help them. But the food has five stars.
Second, you go in and want to take a picture of every single chair in the place. Very well-done decoration. The only drawback is if you choose to eat outside There is a dumpster belonging to another building and you can smell it in certain parts of the outside. Not their fault.
Now the most important part, the people. We were greeted by four people in a very sincere way. Everybody was there in a very good mood and very friendly. My thanks to all of them, especially Lucero, that was very patient with us and made our experience great.
In our thing, we go to a Mexican restaurant only once, but I think that if we have the chance we will repeat this one.

Wonderful waitress! Unique decor and festive atmosphere. But…the food sucked. We eat Mexican all the time all around the area. The food was even priced well…but bland. If it weren’t for the food, I’d be back .
