It was my wife’s and my first visit to our newest restaurant in Quincy and we were VERY pleased. We appreciate the traditional Mexican restaurants that we love here in town, but El Meson has a little more upscale feel to it that you can get outside of the norm. The food and service was great. We totally enjoyed a phenomenal Seafood Chimichanga with rice and beans that we will DEFINITELY be returning for in the near future. They do provide chips, salsa and curtido (cabbage relish) while waiting. They actually brought us a double helping while we were waiting. (SWEET!)

Mixed feelings. 6:00PM. Music was being played extremely loud for a restaurant. Young waitress was more concerned about the four young guys at the bar than service. Food was overall good with some caveats. Rice was a little hard. Rice and refried bean portions small. Fajitas very good. Only came with two fajita shells. At least one more would have been suitable. Need to up service and don’t play music that loud unless late in the evening when it is just bar patrons.

Ordered Camarones a la crema. It was good, but a small portion. The rice and beans were alright. Service was slow. Asked for a spoon to eat with, waited quite a while. Needed more tortillas, but never asked. La Hacienda is better.
