Lunch around 1p on Tuesday… no wait… ate outside on the patio….got to choose where we wanted to sit… host then brought over an umbrella and put over our table…. thought that was awesome!… restaurant seems really big, but decorated nicely…. great upbeat music playing….. very extensive menu…..everything sounded delicious…. usual classic dishes, but also new eclectic choices….. entrees were delicious, desserts were good…didn’t like the chocolate drizzle on the tres leche cake.. would’ve been better with fruit….just my opinion… Xangos cheesecake was awesome! Good experience….would definitely go again…..so many dishes to try! Had seafood chimichangas, which were stuffed with shrimp and scallops…..date had vallarta special…. one thing didn’t like was the machine they have that for the bill…. the server tells you the total and you add the tip right there then they print out a copy and send you on your way…. he likes to look over the bill, discuss the food, service, whatever, then add the tip, which he prefers to give cash….. if he is forced to rush through it on that machine, he will usually tip less and add it to the card instead of leaving cash…. it does feel a little awkward, but not a deal breaker…. less than $60 for beverages, entrees, and dessert for two, which was a good deal for the meal we had…. menu is not overpriced!

I’m sorry, but this was the worst Mexican Restaurant that I have ever been to. Of course, me being me, didn’t like all the flies that were flying around and landing on my food. The food was terrible, except for the street tacos my daughter got. Waitress was really great though. Will NOT be back.

Never a bad meal here! The food is phenomenal. Try to go once a month but really could eat every night. It’s authentic and flavorful and has just enough heat in the spice to make that beer taste great! The service is also outstanding, always greeted by happy people with smiles.

I loved the vibe, the outdoor eating area, and the margarita. But the food compared to other areas was very disappointing. I had the chicken quesadilla with chorizo and it was so dry, barely any cheese inside. I doubt I would come again. Service was super great though, everyone is very friendly.

It was my first time here and although it’s a tad bit tight in certain areas, I loved my time here. They were packed and quite busy but getting a seat didn’t take long at all! The staff was all polite and our waiter Chalingo was phenomenal! There was not a long wait for the food or drinks and although there is only one bathroom for the ladies, it was always unoccupied.

First time here tonight and it will not be my last! This food from start to finish was DELICIOUS! Only complaint was my drink! I literally couldn’t taste any alcohol, I’m not sure if I got served a virgin like my friend ordered or they needed to add more liquor Other than that the chips and salsa was perfect. The fajita nachos were VERY good and let’s talk about the guacamole Our server Brandi was awesome she was on top of it.

May 2023 – No covid. Life is back to normal. This place is busy as pre covid times. Parking can be challenging at times, just be patient, and you will find a spot.. There are lots of good drink options, and the bartender knows what he is doing. There are a good selection of tequilas – Just ask for what you like. Food is outstanding; there are a lot of dishes that are not usually found in other mexican restaurants here.

I moved from Texas, where I lived for decades, to Ohio six months ago. I’ve tried a half dozen Mexican restaurants looking for authentic comfort food and today at lunch finally scored at El Meson. The flavors and the cheesiness was right. My only complaint was the restaurant supply tortillas and such.
