Saw the place this morning ona Puerto Penasco Facebook group post and knew we had to visit during our visit. So glad we did cause everything was excellent. The food really set the tone for what we hope will be a fun week here.
It is cash only and they do speak enough English for me to order although the fam does speak Spanish (I’m trying).
And the Agua de Pepino is a must.

Found this place on Google maps and decided to stop by for dinner and glad we did. This place blends in with the neighborhood but once you walk in there is a nice seating area. They even have birds in the courtyard. Ordered some aracherra steak and it was phenomenal. I really wanted to order the mixed grill for two people as it comes with everything. Definitely going to do that next time. Overall the food was excellent and so was the service. Definitely coming back for more and highly recommend eating here!

Culinary mastery at its best. The grill platter for two was aesthetically pleasing and bursting with flavor. The filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and topped with a chimicurri that was explosive. Shrimp was crisp and dipping sauce was tangy.
Professionalism along with pride of their craft came through.
I highly recommended this mom and pop restaurant and will continue to offer our support ever chance we are here in Puerto Penasco.

Simply a perfect little mom and pop restaurant served with loved from the whole family. The food is also delicious, we had 4 and did the complete dinner of two types of steak, flounder and breaded shrimp. Doesn’t get any better. They also welcome my dog with a bowl of cool water.

What a wonderful hidden gem in Puerto Penasco. Please keep in mind that the restaurant only accepts cash payments. The shrimp tacos were probably the best I ever had. The ribeye steak was delicious and the ambience is really quite pleasant (I enjoyed hearing the caged birds). The service was excellent and attentive. I would highly recommend El Meson for an enjoyable dining experience that is priced very reasonably priced (my bill was 640 pesos).

Food was amazing! Started with chips and salsa then my family of four adults shared four entrees. Everything was delicious and many options to choose from for entrees. Indoor covered seating with a bunch of fans to keep us cool. Just park on the other side of the dirt road. Would absolutely come back again!
