Went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Service was solid, got seated right away. Some of the best chicken I have ever tasted went into these meals. I got 3 Chicken Enchilladas. Definitely will go back when in Mankato!

El Mazatlan has been serving Mankato area since 2003. Guest can enjoy their meal inside or relax in the outdoor patio. It offers online ordering and delivery through Door Dash. My family came here for lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately. We received our food promptly. We were disappointed when 3 of our meals had beef instead of chicken. My wife’s meal specifically said the enchiladas were cheese and chicken. When we order our food, it should come back the way we ordered it. We are hoping next time they will be more efficient with our order.

The resturant is cute inside, but that’s about where it stops. The service was extremely slow and it wasn’t busy and the food didn’t have any spice and I asked for habanero salsa to heat it up and that had no flavor either. My kids even thought it was bland.

We had the Birria tacos and they were excellent. Our server was on point and the food came to the table quickly. It is a very tightly packed dining space but the place is clean and the noise was fine. I really have zero negatives to say about this restaurant and recommend it highly!

My favorite restaurant in Mankato! While I was living there, I was a regular, and now I make sure it’s my first stop when I come visit. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and I think the environment is pretty lively and fun. I wish there was a location close to me so I could go all the time, but I’ll settle for it being a treat when I come down to Southern MN.

I moved back to Mankato after around 30 years down south. I was living in New Mexico and the food there is awesoe, coming back I have to say that Mazatlan Restaurant has the best authentic Mexican Food I have found here. Only wish their taco salad came with a side of salsa. Awesome. well done.

For the 2 1/2 years I’ve been in Mankato, absolutely my go to. Yes, I’ve tried all the others. Just go here, save yourself from the blah anywhere else. The absolute best… now when I travel I say, it’s not as good as Mazatlan. The food, drinks (BEST margarita!)and service! Had the birthday “purse” not realizing it was birthday… but it was a ton of fun! Simply the best!
