If you are considering eating at this establishment, please do so. The food was incredible, the service was attentive, and the food was served quickly. This was my first time eating here and I will be back again. I had the chimichanga and fajitas and they were both great. Also, the queso dip was the best I’ve had since moving to California.

Ample food. The carnitas plate had proportionate more meat than rice and beans. That’s a good thing! Service was prompt and attentive. All in my party cleared their plates. Parking can be an issue, but 6
:30 on Saturday was easy for me. Cannot wait to go again.

Just walking in to El Matador makes you feel like you are at home. Everyone who works there has a heart of gold. Your service will rock. The FOOD…. is so good you’ll want to lick the plate clean especially using the tortilla chips. We never miss an opportunity to eat at El Matador’s. Don’t miss out on this awesome restaurant

This place is pretty good. The bartender was very professional and chill. The foot was good and the portions were too. Restrooms were clean though for some reason the sink had no water pressure. The decor inside was nice and the huge variety of drinks at the bar was a great backdrop for everything else.

Just OK. Not recommended for food only. The drinks are probably good. The chorizo breakfast was very good. The other family members didn’t like their steak burritos and my wife said the chicken tostada was ok. They were busy so service was ok. Parking was good. The guacamole was excellent. It was a little pricey but not that bad. It’s just I had to listen to my group who are also Mexican food aficionados complain and suggest only a 1 star review. There are other taco & burrito places very close that they rate much higher and recommend instead.

Tried many other Mexican restaurants in the area, but this one reminds me of home (Texas) the most! Great ‘Tex-Mex’ style food, and the margaritas are very good too. Will be back!

A couple of friends recommended El Matador to me, so I decided to give it a shot. I have to start with their chips and salsa—seriously, from the moment I tried the salsa, I knew they had recommended a good spot. It had a super fresh taste and the perfect amount of spice. Our waitress, Michelle, was friendly, attentive, and provided us with great service throughout the meal. I ordered the Chimichanga with shredded beef, and it was delicious! The beef was flavorful, and the chimichanga had a nice crisp to it. It came with rice and beans, though I found the rice a bit underwhelming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back.

I have had the pleasure to dine at the venerable El Matador on several occasions and never have I left not the very image of the sated and the satisfied. This last visit I enjoyed the most attentive service, never allowing the chips basket to empty, ever hot, fresh and crisp. The gin and tonic was nicely muscular. The Carne Asada was a triumph, succulent and flavourful, and was attended by generous sides of beans and rice and a mound of guacamole, near the height of Popocatepetl. Their signature dessert, the Chambord liqueur on Ice cream was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful meal. Prepare for my return…

Glad to see this place is still here… Took my husband and we both loved it. Salsa is nice and flavorful and the heat really builds up as you eat it. Loved the beef tacos, rice and beans were delicious too! Definitely a highly recommended place!
