Beautiful atmosphere. I love the way this place is decorated. The owner Julie was our server and she was so sweet and welcoming. The food was really good. The salsa and queso was the best I have had. I ordered the Steak Chimichanga and it was soooooo good, my son had the mango shrimp and salmon and he loved it. Its really hard to get him to eat anything other than chicken nuggets. We really liked the food and will definitely be back.

Place just opened up down the road from my house, sooooooooooooo impressed. The last like 4 places sucked. I wasn’t excited about another Mexican place but this one is better than any I’ve ever had. They have like 30 different margaritas and all have been good. The food is awesome as well. A little pricey compared to other Mexican places (this is more mexican fusion) but it’s worth the price!

This place is UNBELIEVABLE!

A perfect blend of Cuban and Mexican flavors, and the owner was personally serving the tables — which made the whole experience even more special. You can tell when a restaurant is made with passion! And the best part… they’ve only been open for just over a month!

Here’s what we ordered:

Maiya: Traditional burrito with Spanish rice and ground beef.

Jermey: Steak chimichanga topped with creamy queso, served with Spanish rice and guacamole, plus lettuce, onions, pico de gallo, and cilantro.

Krystina : Birria tacos served on warm tortillas with Spanish rice and beans, topped with fresh cilantro and onions.

And ME: The Chingón Bowl: A Cuban delight! Skirt steak with chimichurri sauce over rice and black beans, Bandera salad, sweet plantains, and a small quesadilla on the side.

And to end the evening… a delicious traditional flan that was the perfect sweet finish to an incredible meal.

A restaurant that combines Cuban and Mexican flavors in one place — and absolutely nails it.

If you love bold flavors, this spot is a must-try!

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that absolutely blows you away, El Mas Chingon is hands-down one of the best dining experiences around. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively, welcoming, and full of great energy. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel like family instead of just another table.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is bursting with flavor, made fresh, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they put real passion into their cooking—from the sizzling meats to the fresh salsas and handmade touches. Portions are generous, presentation is beautiful, and every bite tastes like it came straight from a traditional Mexican kitchen.

The drinks are just as impressive—refreshing, well-crafted, and the perfect pairing for the meal. Everything from start to finish is top-tier.

If you want amazing food, outstanding service, and a place you’ll crave going back to, El Mas Chingon delivers 100%. Highly recommend—this place is a true gem!

I was genuinely excited to try this New Mexican restaurant. From the outside, it looks fantastic, and I will say the atmosphere inside was impressive. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our experience.

We chose this location to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and sadly, it ended up being the most disappointing dining experience our family has had.

To start, I ordered the homemade guacamole and was informed after about 10 minutes of ordering that they were out. However, I later noticed guacamole being served with other meals, including our own entrees, which was confusing. While not a major issue on its own, it set the tone for the evening.

I then ordered tortilla soup, which had decent flavor but was served ice cold. The restaurant’s salsa tasted overly sweet and resembled jarred tomato sauce rather than fresh, house-made salsa something I consider a key part of the dining experience at a Mexican restaurant.

The drinks were also underwhelming. My wife ordered a large “skinny” margarita for $18, which felt overpriced especially for what we received. It was extremely sweet and appeared to contain very little to no alcohol. My mother-in-law, who is typically a lightweight, had two and felt no effect. My father-in-law sent his margarita back entirely and opted for a beer instead.

The most disappointing part was the food. I ordered the churrasco steak (approximately $25), which came with white rice, plantains, and fries. I requested to substitute beans for the fries and was later charged $4.50 for the substitution. While I don’t mind paying for quality food, what was served was unacceptable. The steak was extremely thin, greasy, and curled resembling slices of bacon more than a steak as you can see in my photos. The portion was very small, and the entire presentation did not reflect the price point. I even showed it to the server to confirm that this was indeed the $25 entrée and that I was dissatisfied. No alternative was offered, and it was not removed from the bill. All she said was I’m sorry

Additionally, I requested sautéed mushrooms when I ordered my steak to put on top and was served raw mushrooms tossed in oil and paprika. The rice portion was minimal, and the overall dish appeared to have been cooked in excessive grease rather than on an open fire grill. The plantains were the only component that was satisfactory.

My daughter’s ground beef enchiladas lacked flavor, and her refried beans arrived nearly 20 minutes after her entrée. My mother-in-law’s grilled chicken tacos were dry and also lacked seasoning. My sister-in-law’s cheese quesadilla never arrived at all we ultimately told the server not to worry about it after the rest of us had finished eating and cancelled it. My father-in-law’s meal was the only one described as acceptable but didn’t break any records.

What was most disappointing was the lack of effort to resolve any of the issues. Despite multiple concerns being raised, there was no adjustment to the bill, no replacement offered, and no meaningful attempt to improve the situation.

I truly do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for a new establishment, but this experience fell far below expectations particularly for a birthday celebration. There are many excellent dining options in the area Pepe’s being one of them, and unfortunately, this will not be one we return to. Grade F-
