For $17 you can get this Camarones Ranchero dish. A truly bland and borderline inedible meal that doesnt even have everything written in the description. The shrimp was like the precooked cocktail shrimp from walmart. The rice was tasteless and for some reason had green peas and carrots in it. The salad that shouldnt even be included was completely dried out/ old. How this restaurant is rated highly at all is a mystery to. me. I will not be eating here again.

We looovveeedddd our experience here in summer. I got albondigas and my friend got steak of some kind. He is hard to please but he loved it. In fact he said it’s the best steak he’s had in the capital region, and we have tried many restaurants. The albondigas were also tasty. Service was great. Drinks were great. Outdoor seating was great. 10/10 will return!!!

I really enjoy the food and vibes here. I love that you get chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. Their menu has an entire vegetarian section and you can’t go wrong with anything really but I particularly enjoy the bean and cheese burrito, chile relleno, and tamales. The rice and bean sides that come with every entree are always delicious as well. Sometimes we go there just to have some queso and margs, which are especially enjoyable on nights when the back patio is open. Service is always pleasant and quick, the space is clean and cozy — all-in-all El Mariachi is one of my favorite nights out in Albany.

We ordered through UberEATS something advertised as “burrito” aka Mexican food, but the name is misleading to say the least. Their interpretation of a Mexican burrito is not something worth spending your money on. They should relabel their restaurant as “fusion” food if they don’t actually know how to cook what they advertise -carrots and green beans are NOT part of a burrito. I’m really disappointed, especially because I WAS hungry. The photo shows all I could stomach to eat. This tasteless Fakerrito is the only regret I’m taking with me from my visit to Albany.

Always have a great time when I go here.. I suggest just getting an assortment of tacos and sitting at the bar. Throw a picture Margaritas in there and some cucarachas and your made in the shade.

Visiting friends in Albany to go to the Capital Concert that had food trucks but the food truck part was rained out so we went to El Mariachi for dinner. I’ve driven past El Mariachi many times and wanted to eat there. It’s a cool looking place with multiple levels. We ate in the back room. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere.
We shared guacamole ($4.95) as we looked at the menu. I ordered a Ranch Water with Casamigos Reposado tequila as they didn’t have my favorite One With Life tequila which was on the menu. For dinner I had the Enchiladas Rancheras ($18.95)
Spinach & cheese enchiladas topped with a ranchero sauce. A blend of fresh garlic, poblano peppers, cilantro, and onions with Mexican rice and black beans. It was as delicious as it sounds. My wife had the Black Bean soup to start. She also shared with two friends the Vegetarian Fajitas ($23.95) Served with fresh grilled vegetables, bell peppers, onions, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream with Mexican rice and black beans.
The food was outstanding.

Service was fast and efficient. Food was very well plated and good. We ate inside and although it was a close intimate space, it was bright and other diners were pleasant.

I went last Thursday and forgot to leave a review, but this place was amazing. The food was really good and full of flavor. The portions were big, so I left feeling full and even had leftovers to take home.
The service was great. They kept refilling our water and drinks without us even asking. Everyone was really friendly and made sure we were taken care of.
I’m so glad I found this spot. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone, and I’ll for sure be coming back.

Come hungry because El Mariachi serves generous portions of traditional, deeply satisfying Mexican fare. The enchiladas banderas ($18.95 plus tax) was a lip-smacking trio of beef, chicken and cheese. The accompanying rice and beans were so flavorful. If you love mole, I recommend the rebosos con mole ($11.95) appetizer. The orders came out promptly. The restaurant is a bit cramped but you won’t really mind because the food is so good.

El Mariachi offers a satisfying Mexican dining experience. The ambiance is casual, and the menu features classic dishes. I appreciated the friendly service. The portions were generous, providing good value.
I don’t recommend the goat taco personally. I’ve never had goat before, but it had a pretty bitter flavor.
But overall this place is a solid choice for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine.
