This was my first time visiting this particular location but not my first time to El Maguey. Im not a margarita drinker but after trying the frozen tri-color margarita at other locations I liked it. So I stuck to what I know and ordered the same at this location. Oh boy what the heck did i do that for the mixture I was served had some kind of spice to it, to the point it caused my tongue to burn and go numb. I drank my water to try to get some feeling back in my tongue..and I tried another sip to make sure I wasnt loosing it..and again samething. I pushed the drink to the side and just drank my water My sister also said hers had a burning sensation going down, but it didnt burn her tongue or cause numbness. Now im no expert at margaritas but from previous orders of this same drink this was not apart of how a margarita taste, or the little red flakes in the drink. They refused to take the drinks off even after calling a manager who of course was not in the building, and speaking in spanish so we have no idea what the guy even told the manager during the phone call. He gets off the phone and told the cashier they would take off one drink because we drank most of the drinks. Luckily for me I took a pic of my drink before getting up from the table, but didnt think to take a pic of my sister’s..but the picture below is the same amount in both cups when getting up from the table. Im completely disgusted with the service and will never patronize this location again.

AMAZING! Their chips and salsa are amazing and the service is so good. My waiter checked in with me a few times to make sure things were good and also people walking that worked there. I had the Burrito Gigante. It was exactly that; Gigantic! Magaritas we’re also delicious. I recommend the lime flavor! Definitely will be returning!

Came in for some Mexican food that’s normally pretty awesome, one of my favorite places to eat. Ordered some nachos and a steak burrito along with quesadilla with the works. First started off with the quesadilla coming plain with nothing on it. We tried to ask our waiter which turned out later to be the manager if we could get what we ordered politely. He seemed irritated but no issues there. So the main issue occurred when we got our steak burrito and it was so salty it burned our mouths simply the meat on the burrito was so salty it put literally drinking salt water to shame. We apologized and kindly asked just to take it off the bill and take it back. We did not eat any of the burrito other than one bite and tiny bits of steak to make sure we weren’t crazy by sharing it amongst the table. The managers response was angry and called us several Spanish swears and proceeded to take the rest of our food and then charge us for everything, except the burrito which I suppose was a kindness??

Stopped by for the soup ⭐️ Chicken, with rice, and veggies. Super goooood! Definitely Authentic Mexican food! Waiters are super nice and don’t force you to leave. So if you’re looking for a place to eat well and chat, this is the place to go.

Wait staff mocks their customer’s appearance in Spanish. Know that if you eat here, they are making fun of you, assuming you can’t understand them.

The food is always so hot and delicious. My order has never been wrong. The service is amazing and the drinks are strong. My favorite thing is the steak fajitas with the beans and the rice. The portions are huge. I usually have to take half home. So so delicious. I have never had an issue, bad food, or bad service at any of the locations.

Right off the start the menu had salsa all over it and I got it on my hands. We ordered a tamale plate and a combination plate. The main complaint is that there was so much liquid in the plate, all of the food was soggy and pretty inedible. You can judge by the pictures we couldn’t finish it. When they asked if we wanted to go plates, we said no and we didn’t even touch the tacos. I won’t go there anymore. My two beers in the bottle and margarita were good.

Stopped here while we were rolling through town. First time here and at the restaurant itself. Food was mediocre, not much flavor, and somewhat bland. Service was fine for takeout and the place itself had a decent vibe.

Delicious as always! Our very favorite Mexican restaurant. Their portions have shrunk A LOT and prices have gone up but so yummy.

I stopped in for a Tuesday lunch special. Since I’ve been there before, I was not surprised by the friendly, fast service and good food. El Maguey is one of my favorite lunch spots.
