Tamales tasted like a freezer and it was dry and barely had cheese or sauce. Extremely disappointed at the tamales. The leches cake was good and so was the horchata. I recommend not getting the tamales if your expecting a soft and moist tamale.

El Loro was a Superb experience!!! The food was SO scrumptious, the portions were Very generous, the service was Super friendly, attentive, and fast, and it wasn’t too crowded at all for a Saturday evening. Excellent experience!
I ordered the Loco Lindo and a small Peacharita, and my date ordered the Mixed Fajita. But I’d say you pretty much couldn’t go wrong with Anything on their menu. My “small” margarita was pretty big, but it just wasn’t quite sweet enough; it just tasted like alcohol. But that’s definitely the only critique I’d have. Also, the fresh made chips and salsa were absolute perfection!! And the restroom was clean.

Enjoyed the first time and went back to enjoy more food! Great food and drinks. They accommodated my request for no beans or rice due to my health needs. My daughter enjoyed all the sides. Delicious food, good size proportions and very friendly staff. The place has ample seating and offer pick up.

I got the lunch combo #12. It was alright. Didn’t end up eating the quesadilla as it was just cheese and a lot of it.
Horchata was fantastic.
Only “complaint” about the service was we didn’t actually know who our server was as someone different kept coming to the table to drop off or pick up stuff but everyone was friendly and attentive so not really a complaint

Great food. We always go to the Detroit Lakes El Loro’s and saw TRF has one on our drive. Hard to miss with it being next to highway 59 and a yellow building. Our waiter was very nice. The oysters were excellent and big. Avacado perfectly ripe. Burrito Loco delicious. Fish tacos wonderful. My fish was breaded in my tacos kind of larger pieces but still very good. Excellent food.
