El Lechon Kitchen is a small, cozy, family-owned Mexican food spot where love, flavor, and warm smiles are part of every order. Designed mainly for takeout, we offer four tables for those who want to enjoy their food hot and freshly made. It’s not a big restaurant, but it’s a place full of heart, care, and authentic Mexican flavor.
El Lechon began in June 2018 with a food trailer, a dream, and our grandmother’s recipes made with fresh ingredients. Thanks to our amazing community, in 2024 we opened our restaurant, staying true to who we are: honest food, friendly service, and flavors meant to be shared—wrapped in a warm tortilla.

OK, what was initially a seriously great review, has gone downhill. Not sure what to say here I even confirmed with the owner that the Queso Birria tacos were going to be with melted crispy cheese and he said yes absolutely. I even told him I gave him a really great review last time. So I guess I’m not sure what happened.
What I received on re-ordering the exact same Queso-Birria tacos was an undercooked, no cheese melted, flaccid taco that wasn’t very great at all.
So I’m taking back my initial great review, because I believe if I could be missed once that means anybody that I recommend would be upset with me for recommending this place if they have inconsistent food..
Originally, I had said that they had some of the best Quesa Birria tacos up north here…. No mas!

I do recommend that order to go. They only have 4 very small tables and no restrooms. You order at a small window inside a tiny dining area.
We ate there because it was early and we were the only ones there right when they opened.
We ordered a variety of tacos. I ordered the carnitas, pollo and the shrimp. My favorite was the carnitas. My daughter ordered 4 tacos too. We both agreed that they were authentic and very tasty! The corn in a cup was really good too and we finished our lunch with a Mexican coke and a Jarritos! It made a perfect, very affordable lunch!
If you’re in the area and looking to pick up fresh tacos to go, I would highly recommend you stop by and grab some to go.

Looks like I’m late to the party. Recently found this place while googling new spots to eat. This place is located in a small shopping center across from a few auto shops. When you enter the dining area, it’s small and hot. They have a few tables outside. The food billboards offer a few options, but they have a paper menu with more. We ordered the Alambre and Birria tacos and grabbed a table outside. When they let us know our food was ready, I was pleasantly surprised by their plate presentation. They served on cedar planks! Very ingenious. The food was hot and smelled outstanding. Taste was exceptionally good. They only sell glass bottle sodas, no fountain drinks. Pedestrians who walked by kept admiring our choices. The only negative thoughts were that because it’s a strip shopping center, cars tend to reverse park and allow their vehicles to sit idling, allowing carbon monoxide fumes to build up along the front of the stores. Do go and like my post if it was a positive visit.

This place is the definition of a Hole in the wall restaurant. Super small dining room with only four tables, but they make up for it with the food! Absolutely delicious tacos, great presentation, and salsas are very good! Definitely think to go is a good option but this place is absolutely worth a try! We will be back!

This is a tiny place, with only a few tables, so get takeout. The food is wonderful. I had a carnitas taco and a steak taco. The steak was really good. The carnitas was the best I’ve had in Colorado! I’ll definitely be back.

This is a small place with limited seating. BUT, the food was OUTSTANDING! Fresh ingredients, well balanced spices, and flavors that demonstrated the talent of the chef! And, it was all served on a wooden plank!

The quesa birria & chile relleno burrito TO DIE FOR!!! As well as the Mango Agua Fresca. I’ve had a lot of Mexican food and this place truly is the best. Food is fresh and doesn’t feel too heavy.

Unique and delicious tacos! It’s pretty easy to find good tacos in Colorado, but I can’t say I’ve ever had any quite like these. The tortillas are fantastic, the meats are very juicy, and there is some real thought into what is paired with each. Very excited to return and try more.

Try the carnitas tacos, they make this amazing raspberry chipotle sauce that is just incredible. The quesobirrias was also fantastic. I wish this restaurant was closer to where I live in south east Aurora because we don’t have any Mexican food this good near us, and it’s fairly priced as well. Thank you for the great food!

Gourmet tacos! Their own sense of flavor! Whatever that red sauce on the Carnitas is is delicious! The green sauce is more flavorful than spicy, which is a great change.
A lil pricey! Worth it!!!
