This place had the poorest fish tacos I’ve ever seen. It’s just fish in a flour tortilla. No cabbage, no seafood sauce just plain grilled fish on tortilla. I’ve never been so disappointed at Mexican. The fish could have used one more fillet as well. The atmosphere is cute but the booths are way to close together.

This place gets 5 stars across the board! The food was incredible. And we didnt have to wait to be seated, and our food came in 5 minutes, maybe even less! Not only was the food and atmosphere amazing, our server, Denny, was incredible. He was so sweet and patient with our children, we would come back just for him alone! We came from out of town to try this place out and we are so glad we did. We loved it here. We felt like family! Olive Garden has nothing on El Lago of Forsyth Missouri. We’re even sad to leave, this was an amazing experience. And the price cannot be beat!

Went inside to get my food, they pointed and laughed at me. On top of that they got my order wrong, we were missing a side of rice, gave us cold chunky cheese dip. I ordered a street taco and they didn’t even give me Verde sauce and just a regular white tortilla there is no lime, and no onions, literally just tortilla and steak. On top of that the food just wasn’t that great. Not ordering here again. I’ve been to other locations and never have been treated this way before for. The Forsyth location and the people that helped me, they definitely gave me a bad experience. This was my first experience at the Forsyth one, will not be ordering from them again! -10/10

I thought eating at El Lago the first time may have been a fluke but after eating there the second time, I’ve decided it’s not. It’s. Just. Good. I could ramble on for 30 minutes about the white queso that would be delicious on dirt, but EVERYTHING is delicious! The side rice and beans are perfectly seasoned and my BIL commented on the massive amount of chicken in his enchiladas. The chimichangas and fajitas will feed us for another meal. Good, fast service and reasonable prices will bring us back!

This is one of our favorite places. Everything we have tried here is delicious. Service is fantastic, food is served quickly; even when the restaurant is packed. Food always tastes fresh and hot. If you order the Pick Three, be sure to upgrade to the cheese sauce, just $.99, it’s worth it! I’ll update this review with pictures soon, as we are regulars.
