They went extra mile on everything, randomly was there and for valentines they had decorations, area for pictures and drinks decorated for valentines. Food was very good. They also have lots of TVs so great for watching the UK game.

This is my #1 favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. We eat here at least once a week and the food and drinks are always delicious. They have the same employees as long as I can remember, so they must enjoy their co-workers and the owner. Which I always see the owner working, as well.
I’m not sure who does the decorating , but they are always changing it up and should be on Pinterest. It is always exceptionally clean and I don’t need to see their score of % to tell me that. No other restaurant compares to El Lago with the owner, employees ,food, drinks, cleanliness,and the atmosphere. Stop here after a day on the lake and have a cozy dinner outside on the patio.

10 out of 10 I would definitely eat here again I had the steak tacos my wife had the Toro-burrito. Both excellent staff was very friendly excellent service. We’ve been looking for a new restaurant for a few months now and we have found it.

My friends and I have truly found the diamond in the rough here. First of all hands down the most authentic Mexican food anywhere. Absolutely delicious. Second this is a place to come and be yourself. Bring the family, bring your friends, sit on the beautiful patio, or get up and dance the night away. Everyone from the hostess to the owner to the patrons are super friendly. No matter how you arrive… you will leave smiling and happy, relaxed and full. We drive an hour one way to eat here every Wednesday and watch Jimmy Ritchie play music. He’s also amazing! Lots of fun!!! Definitely don’t miss out on this one. You can thank me later! And if you want a fantastic adult beverage try the passion fruit. I don’t know what’s in it but it’s pure happiness in a cup!

I watched employees spray Sprayway glass cleaner on food prep areas, drink dispensers, margarita machines, and even over open ice bins. The manager admitted they use it on everything and didn’t care when I explained it’s toxic if ingested. Sprayway is a chemical glass cleaner, not food safe, and can contaminate anything it touches. Staff also mocked me in Spanish, not realizing I speak it fluently. Serious health risk and total lack of professionalism.

This place is amazing! The service and the food are both impeccable. I am a vegetarian and they have vegetarian options! The menu will cover all appetites. The drinks impressed me well. I tried the Bourbon Pina Colada!!!!! For all of you bourbon lovers, this drink will change your perspective!!! I totally recommend this restaurant to you, your family and friends. The outdoor patio is perfect!!! I will be back for another round of great food and amazing service.

I’m not sure where to begin. This place is amazing!! Went with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and we sat outside on the patio. It was beautiful and had plenty of space. The waiters were attentive, we got our drinks almost immediately after ordering them. The adult beverages are strong but delicious and I am NOT a drinker. I may have one a year because I do not like the taste of alcohol. The food came maybe 5 minutes after we ordered and it was a lot. The best Mexican food I’ve ever had from any restaurant. The owners are amazing too. I will definitely be going again!! No complaints at all!! I recommend to everyone

The atmosphere was so fun! Beautiful scenery outside & they played uplifting music that made you want to dance in your seat! Ha! The food was absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and served in huge portion sizes that definitely gave us more than our money’s worth. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We noticed several people around us enjoying big colorful margaritas, cold beers, and fun cocktails that looked so tempting. We’ll definitely be trying those next time! Hands down the best Mexican restaurant I’ve had so far! From the food, to the service, to the music and lively energy! It was an excellent experience to have all around especially after a long day on the lake! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was great! I left this place stuffed and I don’t regret it. Salsa is one of the biggest things that I look at when I think about a Mexican restaurant. The hot salsa was very good. Had a great flavor. The mild was OK but not the best. The tacos that I had were stuffed with meat, and had an amazing flavor! We were amazed at how big the burrito was when it came out, it was also very flavorful as well. Everyone that we encountered was super friendly and we got our food pretty quick. Definitely give this place a try.
