I will definitely come back soon. From Ireland
Ramon is the server you all want! Very attentive and patient with first timers! A must visit!!
Update: after visiting this restaurant almost a dozen times, my rating didn’t even faltered! Every single part of staff is always attentive and tonight they brough out a dessert for my B-Day and sang a song! It was so sweet and kind!
Love it! And always will!
First, the people. It took Comcast 2 days to show up to set up my Internet connection. The chef at El Korita offered to let me use their connection since I lived around the corner. Who does that?
And then there’s the food. You get a lot of food for very reasonable prices. The refried beans. Who waxes poetic about refried beans??? Me!
I recommend ordering any specials they offer. I am not a chile rellono person. But a giant chile pepper that was delicately fried showed up on my specials plate and wow!
The only fail was the quail. When I lived in Texas, I had a German short-haired pointer. Quail hunter friends would take my dog hunting and they shower me with field-dressed quail.
The chefs fried the delicate bird perfectly. But the obviously don’t make the dish that often because the sweet meat was way over cooked. The dogs loved it, though!
There is no lunch menu. The restaurant serves its food all day long.
I love sitting on the patio. It’s a happenin’ block. The patio has privacy from the sidewalk. It’s just a great spot.
There is a ton of parking in front of the restaurant and across the street.
The “funnest” part of the restaurant is its windows. The owner has found a talented local artist who paints the windows every couple of weeks. I always walk by to see what’s on the glass next.
I feel fortunate such a wonderful eatery is around the corner from me!
Parking is free and plentiful; El Korita is located near the Starbucks and on a “restaurant row” alongside dining establishments Ocean and K’Gen.
The outdoor patio at El Korita is a popular spot for margaritas and Mexican food.
The patio and the inside dining room were packed, but we were immediately seated at table for two outside, and one of the many friendly servers came over to give us bottomless chips and salsa.
My brother had a margarita, and I had a Dr. Pepper (you are allowed one refill on soft drinks before being charged).
The menu is massive, and specializes in regular Tex-Mex style fare as well as seafood, chicken and steak platters.
Service was good; however, like many restaurants around the world these days, it seemed like they struggled at times to keep up with the bustling atmosphere. I can easily forgive this, as the staff was working very hard to keep their customers pleased.
Afterwards, we took a stroll and considered dessert options at both, Whole Foods Market and Sundae, which are also located in the Willits Town Center.
