We had our Christmas party here, and they were on top of everything from start to finish. Our server did an amazing job remembering everyone’s orders, even with a large group, which was really impressive. The atmosphere was great. We originally thought we had reserved a private room, but it ended up being a more secluded section off to the side. It worked out well, and we all had a great time. The food and margaritas were amazing, as always.

We traveled to Durant for my sis graduation and we chose this spot for dinner and it was a hit! The drinks were great and the food was superb! I had tacos and my daughter had the asada fries. Her fries were probably thw best I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly and have exceptional service!!!

We enjoyed our meal at El Kanelo Mexican Restaurant & Bar. I had the Enchiladas Mixtas, which consisted of four enchiladas: a beef enchilada, a chicken enchilada, a bean enchilada, and a cheese enchilada. The beef in the beef enchilada was delicious, while the chicken in the chicken enchilada had a delicious light spice to it. All this was served in tortillas that were made fresh in the restaurant. Plus the portions here are very generous. We would definitely come back here next time we are in the area.

Wife and I eat here nearly every Wed. Night. For the money, food is good and plentiful. Chicken fajitas for one is plenty for the both of us. Servers are good. Only complaint….the chips are pretty spare. Otherwise, pretty, pretty, pretty good!

I wish this place was local for us. We came down from the OKC area and found this when searching for a place serving ceviche. The atmosphere was great, service decent, the plates arrived in a timely manner. The chips and salsa was some of the best. My ceviche was delicious and a large portion. My wife had the shrimp tacos that came with a side of beans and rice, which was also incredibly good, seasoned perfectly. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I don’t know what’s going on with this place because the food is so good in the restaurant for dining. but I ordered food ToGo today . I ordered the Vallarta quesadilla with side sliced avocados, and also the three enchiladas one cheese one chicken on cheese with rice and beans. ?? The onions aren’t cooked in the quesadilla, also no sliced avocados, and I’ve never had fresh tomatoes on a quesadilla. It wasn’t cooked enough so the quesadilla was soggy, and the enchilada plate I can’t even tell what’s what, and no rice and beans and it was $28. Needless to say, disappointment. And time before the last time I ordered from there I didn’t get my 2 guacamole salads. So I brought it to the cashier’s attention and he ignored me.

I would say you get your moneys worth, but that would be a false statement.
Why?
Because you don’t get everything that should’ve been included in your meal as described in their menu, such as rice or guacamole or sour cream or tortillas. There’s always something missing from your meal that should have been included. So if you get a carryout order and you go back for the stuff that was supposed to be on the plate, they charge you for it all again.
One meal for just myself cost me $63 because they didn’t include everything that was supposed to be with the meal as it was described in the menu and then I had to pay for those items upon return.
Also, the food is subpar in my opinion. There are much better places in town to eat at if you’re wanting Mexican food.
It’s expensive to go out to eat nowadays so when you do, you deserve to get your money’s worth and enjoy the experience.
