Yummy vegan burrito with spanish rice, and house seasoned soy protein (today it was pastor style but they sometimes make it in the styles of carne asada or adobada). They have complementary self-serve beans near the soda machine (lard free and vegetarian) and a salsa bar with avocado sauce that’s vegan and lots of veggies, pickled onions and good salsas. The chipotle sauce has mayo. The tortillas are lard free and the spanish rice doesn’t have meat broth/ chicken stock. Everything was delicious and the counter service was excellent. They were also very responsive to questions by email.

I’m not sure why this location gets a bad rep, I typically go to places based off of reviews however I decided to give it a try despite some of the poor reviews. This is hands down the best Mexican food in Brawley. They provide an amazing salsa bar with pickled carrots and onions included, the carne is fresh and has a beautiful char. Will absolutely be coming back.

The birria here isn’t real Birria, besides it being marketed as “real birria.” I have asked the cashiers on two separate instances beforehand if the meat was goat meat and the cashiers had told me in both instances it was. However based off of taste, texture, and quality, it is very easy to tell that it is not real goat meat. Additionally, the meat they do use is dry, unseasoned, and frankly nasty to even eat.
Personally I wouldn’t have a problem with the place if they would just admit they don’t serve real birria instead of lying straight to my face on multiple occasions about serving what they don’t have. I haven’t tried anything else here besides the Quesa-Birria and the Birria burrito, but that being said, I can’t say I’d trust eating here if they are okay openly lying to customers about what they serve.
I have also eaten at the OG location in Brawley before they relocated, and that location had better quality food in general. I’m not sure what has happened since they’ve relocated, but it is obvious that the quality of the food has gone down since they’ve relocated.

The smoke extractor doesn’t work, it’s horrible to eat there, and poor employees who spend so many hours breathing in the smoke from the grill! My family and I left there with red eyes and stinking of smoke! Maybe the owner should stop driving his Ram TRX around town and improve his restaurant.

I’ve been here once before and it was nothing special. However, this time the food was surprisingly good. Very fresh, prepared well and served fast. I had quesadillas al pastor and they were delicious. I’ll be back again. Hopefully it stays this quality.

The carne asada fries were a huge serving and reasonably priced, however, the asada was a little dry, but good flavor. I also ordered tacos Al pastor, which were also dry and didn’t have any flavor.
