Food was good. I got a combo plate so I tried a tamale, a taco, an enchilada and a chile relleno. All were good. The chile relleno was the best of all. I had better at other Mexican places but I was satisfied here. Lately I’ve been very disappointed on different Mexican restaurants.

I would not recommend El Jimador, as my meal contained several bugs cooked in- indicating a kitchen cleanliness issue.

Little hidden secret here: Best boneless Chipotle Wings I have ever had. Yummy. The Chorizo queso dip is fantastic! I have visited many times.

My son and I had driven by this restaurant several times while going to nearby appointments. Finally decided to give it a try at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Friday. Obviously not a peak time so getting seated was immediate and our waiter was quick and attentive with hot chips and a hearty salsa. Menu had plenty of options and I opted for the chicken burritos supreme, which came with 2 good sized burritos, well proportioned and very tasty, covered in a red sauce and sour cream with tomatoes. Prices were very reasonable for such generous portions. The decor was colorful and pleasing. Will definitely return again and highly recommend this restaurant for an enjoyable dining experience.

We stopped in at El Jimador Mexican Bar & Grill for a late lunch. There were very few people in the restaurant so we really couldn’t comment on the service. I will say the service we received was very good. Our waitress checked on us several times during our visit.
We were served salsa and chips on our arrival. The chips were warm which we like. The salsa was served in a small bowl, seem a little watery to me. My wife thought it looked and tasted more like ketchup. It wasn’t a deal breaker by any means. The decor was very whimsical and creative. If you dine with small children I am sure you can make a game out of the decor while waiting on your order.
I had the Burrito Jimador which was a large flour tortilla filled with shredded chicken topped with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and served with rice and beans. You can change out the chicken for seasoned ground beef if you wish. The serving size was good, not great, and the burrito I would say is on par with any Mexican restaurant you would visit nowadays. I had a frozen Margarita which was good and once again on par with any like Mexican restaurant. I will say I’m glad I didn’t order a large Margarita because the medium-sized one was large enough for me.
My wife had the Burrito Spinach with shrimp. The burrito was stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese, topped with a house marinara sauce and shredded Parmesan cheese. The burrito was served with rice and steamed vegetables. My wife enjoy the burrito but was a little surprised there was only three shrimp served with the burrito. The upcharge for the shrimp seemed a little high to us.
I’m in a dilemma here between a 3 ½ star and a four-star review for El Jimador. Unfortunately, Google doesn’t let reviewers give half-stars on reviews. I think there is more towards a four-star review than a three-star one. Therefore, I’m going with the four stars.

Great food and atmosphere. I had the beef and chorizo tacos, and they were very flavorful. I had plenty for another meal, and had the rest for lunch the next day.

I got the grilled beef burrito and it was very good, except that it came with sour cream. The menu only mentioned lettuce and tomato, guacamole by request, so I didn’t know to ask for no sour cream. My wife got the ribeye. She always orders med rare and every restaurant over cooks. This was no exception, but they made her another one and it was good. All in all the food was great except for the salsa served when seated. It was literally only ground tomato. No seasoning, cilantro or anything. Flavorless. We were very confused and asked if that was the normal house salsa and was told yes. Oh well. Anyway, our service was good and we will probably eat here again.
