This place is excellent! I just stopped in for lunch and I had the beef chimichanga lunch special. The chips are always nice and crisp, and their salsa has just the right spices to be spicy but not too hot. The beef chimichanga was excellent with the melted cheese sauce over the top. The Mexican rice was just the right consistency and the little lettuce and tomato garnishment was also excellent, and a nice addition. Yes I will be back!

El Jimador is a staple to Clemson and the surrounding area. Very nice atmosphere inside, super chill to have a drink after work or enjoy a nice first date with. Lovely patio area if the weather is right. Always a lowkey place to enjoy food and drink. Not very nice in any specific standard but overall good quality in general.

Ok so was so excited to go here, the food was amazing we order some drinks the waitress never told us they did not have them we ask about them she shows me her phone to say they don’t have them my friend went to the bar to get something different they would not wait on her she comes back to the table sits down a man asked what we needed and we proceed to tell him and he says o we have those. So a few mins go by we finally get them. She gives me the check don’t take the payment like all the others tables do we now have to walk to the front to pay our tab. Other then all this the food was amazing.

We were seated immediately. The manager Rafael was helpful with our questions. Our server Federico was very attentive. To our surprise, the food came out very quickly and it was very flavorful! Would highly recommend! Will be coming back when in town again.

One star for this place is generous. It was our first time here as we were wanting to try something different. The customer service was alright but the food was something else. The chips were okay but the sauce did not taste good as all that you could taste was cilantro. When we received our food we were in awe for such small quantity with high prices. The steak quesadillas barely had any meat. We asked a waiter about it and he said “oh, what, you want some more?” Yes, please… But we didn’t ask for more. You can judge for yourself in the pictures (by the way, they were not off the kids menu). Two steak quesadillas were $9.50. The ground beef tostadas had barely any lettuce and had an odd taste. The shredded chicken tostada didn’t taste bad but again had barely any lettuce. My husband got the “Los Alambres -Texan” dish which had chicken, steak and shrimp. The dish had three shrimp and very little steak for $13 dollars. We will not be returning to this place. My recommendation is for anyone to go to a different Mexican restaurant other than this one.

El jimador is the BEST mexican restaurant in clemson for college students because it is cheap but the food is AMAZING and the staff and atmosphere are both so welcoming. ALSO shoutout to jordan because he is amazing and he is so personable and welcoming. shout out jojo

The food was okay at best; while I enjoyed my Quesabirria, I felt it lacked richness I often expect from birria. My wife’s Jimador Grill Special barely had any rice, and the queso was super watery (literally to the point of dripping). Our service was also only okay, and the menus had salsa inside of them.
