I can’t remember if I already did a rating but heck here’s another. Best place in town. My family Favorite waitress is Ms. Alana but the ENTIRE staff is amazing. Extremely respectful and happy and just an all around good place to be. The food is delicious, say what you want about my taste but as for me and my family we love it. Highly recommend! We definitely recommend Ms. Alana but you can’t go wrong with any waiter or waitress at this establishment they are all absolutely amazing!

My girlfriend and I just ate here. It’s Sunday afternoon, so an afternoon church crowd was expected. This was my first and definitely last time eating here. As we walked into the restaurant, we were confused if we should wait to be seated or to just seat ourselves. I noticed a waitress wiping down tables. I asked if we chose our own seats, or waited to be seated. She looked at me, and she looked just as confessed as I. We waited approximately 5 mins. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it may be. Our waitress, Melissa, was quick to ask for our orders. I had the Taco Salad, and my girlfriend had the chicken quesadillas. We were served our drinks after a few mins, along with complimentary chips and salsa. The bowls she brought out with them, were dirty. Our waitress returned 10 mins later to take our order. We sat in a booth and I had a clear eyesight into part of the kitchen. I noticed that no one cooking was wearing aprons or gloves. I observed the “chef” using his bare hands to pick up raw chicken and then, bell peppers. Cross contamination much? We waited maybe 15 mins for our food, and it wasn’t worth the wait. My 1 tomato that went with my salad was slimy, as if it was frozen then thawed out. The beef tasted like it wasn’t fresh and my girlfriend’s chicken quesadillas were covered in oil and her peppers were burnt! They were no longer green. The waitress seemed overwhelmed and I’m guessing from the lack of staff, because we only seen 2 waitress during our visit. She kept standing by our booth, trying to change all the channels in the dining area, and trying to seat people as well. Very unorganized, the food was subpar and the service was not the best I’ve received. Also, it was so dark inside, you could barely see your food. I like to see what I’m eating, but that’s just me. Definitely could use some organization and standard food handling classes, in my opinion. Chavos, in my opinion, is a much better choice!

I only gave 1 star for service because that’s as low as it goes. We waited 15mins on someone to come get our drinks. There were only about 4 tables in the whole restaurant & at least 6 people walked by us without even trying to help us. I’ve been a server for well over a decade & this was by far one of my worst experiences. When someone finally came to the table she got our drinks & order & never came back to check on us. Food is also extremely greasy

Ranchero DeSoto is excellent! So much flavor. Steak, chicken, shrimp, bacon, onions, green peppers and rice covered with queso. This is the lunch portion! It’s on a full sized plate. $13 (I started to dig in b4 I took pics 🙂

I was visiting family after having driven several hours from Dallas. I was starving and Mexican food is my favorite. They told me about this restaurant. We arrived around 5 PM on a Saturday where there were only a handful of people in there. We were seated right away. From the moment we walked in the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. I have never in my life ordered food that has come out as fast as that did and taste so darn good. I got the beef chimichanga with chili sauce. Everyone loved their entrée choices. The menu is very vast with so much to choose from. I’ve only had maybe two margaritas in my life so I don’t typically care for them. But the mango margarita was incredibly good. And very strong. No complaints. This place is a hidden gem to anyone that hasn’t been there. If you’re traveling down, I 20 through Minden, it is worth the detour.

Foods always typically ok but you never know what youre going to be paying. Their online prices say one thing. In store prices another. They have a card fee for paying with a card yet I was charged extra paying with cash. I only had enough cash for what their online prices were so I just went ahead and paid online, then when I went back in to pick up, I got attitude about having paid online instead of paying their FIVE EXTRA DOLLARS it would’ve been paying CASH in store. The card fees are always annoying but this was the worst service I’ve ever received there and dont plan on going back. Won’t ever recommend them again after the customer service I received. In this economy its absolutely disgraceful to be scamming your customers like that.
