This is the best Cuban sandwich I have had outside of Miami. The sweet plantain fries were delicious. The staff was very friendly and our food was ready fairly quickly. The owner spent time to talk with us and thank us for the business. I would highly recommend El Jeff’s Cubanos to anyone looking for the best Cuban sandwich in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area to stop and vist. Get there early if it is Saturday or Sunday and Fooyball is on.

I was greatly surprised by El Jefes tacos. I personally think they are amazing. I am Mexican and grew up in Guadalajara Mexico. A taco capital, where, in some neighborhoods, you find tacos in almost every corner. The tacos from el jefes are not the traditional meat in a tortilla with chopped onion and cilantro kind of traco. His are different, but in a great way. I only read the details of what goes into each one of these guys AFTER I tried them and loved them. He came up with a Taco Trio for the Cincinnati Taco Week. That’s how I found him. The trio came with one pork, one chicken, and one vegetarian taco. The flavor of his tacos is amazing. As I was eating them, my taste buds were so happy! I live in Los Angeles and come to Cincinnati frequently for business. I already told him I will try his Torta Cubana next. I know that I will pay him another visit soon.

Outstanding food! Got the classic cuban and plantains. The cuban was spot on. Crunchy on the outside, moist and balanced on the inside. The plantains were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even my 5 year old couldn’t get enough.

Cool setup in ky. This is setup with several food vendors around an open picnic area. With a bar at the back of the area. We all had the Cuban sandwich and all were very good. We also had plantains and sweet potato fries. All were nicely done.

If you’re looking for a really good Cuban sandwich, El Jefe’s is the spot! The Cuban sandwich was absolutely on point—the bread was pan dulce, crispy on the outside with just the right chew. Nothing worse than a butchered Cuban, and these guys know exactly what they’re doing. This place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time trying a Cuban and wow I gotta say this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted in my 27 years. I also recommend trying the tots and the fried plantains. Everything was excellent. Also Jefe is a very cool dude. Go check this place out if you havnt yet!!
