Honestly this was the absolute worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Not exaggerating. There were three of us and no one even finished half their entrees because everything was so underwhelming and bland. I’m vegetarian and I’m still appalled at the veggie meal I ordered. After two bites I had to send it back, it was disgusting. For a Monday night with no one in the restaurant, you’d think you’d get amazing service. After we got seated, I walked to my car and came back and no one had come to greet us or take our drink orders yet. The server we got was pretty nice, she didn’t come back to refill our drinks and she seemed new, but overall she was a nice girl. All in all, for the prices of the food here and for the location, I definitely expected a lot more. I could make better fajitas and burritos myself. Definitely will never be returning. They play good music at least.

It was our first time eating there last night, and we had such a great experience! The food was delicious, and the drinks our server Angie recommended were sooo good. Even though it was super busy and she was being run around a lot, Angie gave us amazing service. She stayed positive, attentive, and so funny, she had my whole family laughing! We would definitely love to have her as our server again.

Went here on a Sunday. There were barely any customers. It took them around 10 minutes to acknowledge us or the family in front of us to be seated. A lot of the tables were still full of dirty dishes. It didn’t seem like anyone there was in a hurry to do anything. The food came out hot and was delicious. The ice cream, on the other hand, was old. We got butter pecan, and the pecans were soft and chewy, and there was grittiness to the ice cream itself. This establishment wasn’t very professional at all. You could tell the cook was bored as he was leaning over on the counter, and servers were just hanging out talking to each other. Don’t plan on returning unless they can get their act together.

We went today, and overall I was very disappointed with our experience. The service was lacking — our server had to be reminded several times to refill drinks and bring missing items. The food was also a letdown: it lacked flavor, didn’t taste fresh, and the birria tacos were soft instead of crispy. The soup came out cold, and even the rice in the kids’ meal seemed old.
The only thing we truly enjoyed were the birria empanadas — those were delicious!

Stopped in today 6/28 for dinner. We were so happy to see all of the pride decor and we felt 100% welcomed here. For our entrees, my wife got the Nachos with ground meat, it was filling and delicious! I got the Taco Dinner; with the skirt steak and only Onions and Cilantro (no lettuce, tomato or cheese). I also asked for corn tortillas instead of flour… I wanted my tacos to be more like authentic street tacos. They were very accommodating with my requests!
We are so happy we chose to stop in this restaurant for our dinner! The food was delicious! We will definitely be coming back!

Worst salsa in FL, unreal. Guacamole is over the top an onion base, no flavor. Bartender is super nice, not her fault they serve bad food.

We were in town from Minnesota and had a team event catered at El Jefe’. They were amazing. The service was great and the food was superb. Best queso and fajitas I’ve ever had! We are already planning our trip back next year. It’s also in such a cute area of Orlando, you can spend the whole evening enjoying the local attractions right outside their door!

The vibes were great but I definitely anticipated a little more for the location. Our server was also bartending and was probably stretched a little thin, so I don’t blame her for taking longer to get to us. My boyfriend ordered steak, she asked if he wanted tortillas and when his dinner was served we had to ask for them. Same with sour cream on the taquitos (menu said it came with them). Underwhelming food but the music was good.

Went to El Jefe Tequila for dinner with three of my buddies and had an amazing experience. Angela was our server and she was seriously a breath of fresh air super friendly, fun, and made the whole night even better. She’s a phenomenal server and really knows how to create a great vibe at the table. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The food and drinks were great, but Angela truly made the experience memorable. Can’t wait to come back and be served by her again when I’m back in Florida!
