This place has some pretty good reviews so the Mr. and I decided to try it. The food was pretty good but could have had a bit more flavor. It came out and it wasn’t piping hot but it was ehh, warm enough. The consomé was not as flavorful as I was hoping for but it wasn’t bad. We have the QuesoBirria and the Birria Goat Pizza. The Mr. loved it. I would still give them a try. We want to return to try the Birria consomé soup. It is definitely affordable so believe me when I say it’s worth going back. There are many other options so definitely pay attention to the many pictures that are within the reviews.

Overall would recommend this place for affordable food that actually has flavor! Chips are fresh, their green salsa is soooo good. We got the happy plate, quesobirria, beef torta, and house tacos. The portions are great and the staff was super attentive. I think parking is only in the back so I think they should have clearer signs about that.

DELICIOUS! First time here and I’m very excited to return. Everything was very fresh and tasted like true authentic Mexican Cuisine. We had the Pineapple Margarita, Blueberry Margarita, Tostimar Aguachile , 1lb of Fajita Steak and Sopapillas. Service was wonderful and the environment was very welcoming. This is truly a hidden gem in the area.

Crisp air conditioning welcomes you into the nicest restaurant that will show you what southern hospitality is. Food was amazing and so reasonably priced! Kindly gifted us dessert when we were sitting chatting after paying our tab and hearing it was our first visit. So kind!

Excellent food! I had the omelette with chilaquiles. It was delicious with lost of meat. My husband had the tacos and my daughter had pancakes. They really enjoyed it. The service was great too. Will definitely go back to this place when I’m back in Texas.

I was very disappointed with el Jefe restaurant. After seeing all the good hype on TikTok about the food, service and ambient I decided to come and check it out.
The food was pretty good. It’s want all that but wasn’t bad either. We some birria tacos because that was the highlight of it at this restaurant, but the tortilla was soggy and birria tacos are supposed to be somewhat crunchy.
The customer service is HORRIBLE!!! Our waiter had a careless attitude, he never came to ask us if we needed anything, he got our order wrong. We had to wave our hand to get another waiters attention to tell him our order was wrong and he took our food and never brought it back. We asked for napkins more than 5x … never came by to bring some. I had to get up from my table to walk over to the counter and ask our waiter for a box to go and the tab. 15 minutes later and here I am still waiting on him, had to get back up to ask him for my tab.
Now I’d understand if it was busy. But it was only 3 of us at our table and other couple besides us. So he wasn’t busy at all. I could see he was just staring around.
Idk that I’d consider to come back just because of the lack of service. As I see more bad reviews on that that have been posted about a month ago, so this shows me that the owner either doesn’t care or is not aware.

This is the best birria & churros in the area! The drinks were huge, we ordered horchata & jamaica & they were super tasty. The birria tacos were fresh & not greasy & the churros were perfectly soft on the inside. I would definitely come back & the service was great
