Cheese enchilada plate was very salty. One beef fajita was $9 and the meat was mushy. The chili con queso had a sour after taste and the chips where old and hard. The tortillas while being served warm were also old and hard. The tables edge was peeling while the other three sides the veneer had been completely peeled off. Definitely skip this place, it caters exclusively to certain cotton haired class of folks. Service was excellent.

Our small group arrived at 11am. . We sat down on a bench just across the host podium(no host). It took a long time for us to be greeted. Hardly anyone was in the restaurant. Two couples came in while we were sitting waiting and they were seated before us. We had to get their attention.
We were seated at table and menus were brought over. I asked about their empanadas that were listed under appetizers, and what they were made of. Waiter made it sound yummy! I told the waiter I would have that as my meal. Well, when the plate arrived I thought it was some kind of joke. The so-called empanadas were super tiny and not even worthy to be called an empanada. I have had empanadas at several restaurants and never have I seen like what was served to me. They were ALMOST an inch long, six on the plate, I didn’t see the shredded chicken as it was described by waiter, and so Way over-priced. The dipping sauce had zero flavor. The flautas that my friend ordered looked very dark (burnt). Seriously, how can you bring that out to the table and be proud of what you just served. I will not be eating here again and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. Small portions and overpriced.
I wish I had taken a picture.

It took our server 18 minutes to take our order and half an hour to bring our chips. It wasn’t that full. Fajitas were good, but the taco meat was a little salty and expensive. Three tacos for $12.99. No guacamole or sour cream. Lemonade was good, Sangria was good but small for $15.00.

The margaritas are good and strong . That said, the chips and salsa were stale and the queso flavorless. The chicken fajitas were bland and water was added just before serving to create the sizzle but didn’t help the flavor. There were no vegetables with the chicken other than onions and a few peppers.

This San Antonio gem remains a top pick for us. Even amid the bustling crowd during dinner, the speed of the food delivery held up admirably. The atmosphere exudes warmth, and the menu is a delight with its abundant choices. Brace yourself for sizable portions – perfect for sharing a hearty meal. A go-to spot that consistently satisfies both the palate and the craving for a welcoming dining experience.

We went here for dinner tonight as a family. Overall, the place seemed to have an upscale approach. We ordered the super nachos as an appetizer, two Treviño, margaritas, the carne guisada dinner, the shrimp enchilada suizas, a quesadilla and the bananas foster for dessert.
Absolutely everything was delicious!! Also, the shrimp enchiladas were hands down the best suizas I have ever had! The salsas were very flavorful. I loved how the restaurant had the tortillas being made fresh on display in the middle of the restaurant. My only critique is that they do not have much of a margarita / Mexican drink option. We’ll definitely be coming back here.

Pretty good! Smaller portions that are a bit more on the pricey side, but still pretty good. The drinks were also expensive for the amount in my opinion, but I enjoyed them and the options they had. Definitely a cute, ambient date night place even though it can get loud inside.

In a non rush time we ordered simple food. Beef enchiladas and cheese enchiladas. Tortilla soup and a salad. The food took almost 30 minutes. When it arrived the beans were crusted over and the rice was crunchy. It had been sitting for a while. When we got the food back it was the same food microwaved. The manager said sorry because they were understaffed. Then he went on to say he knows his business as he’s been in for 40 years. Let’s be honest, there is a Mexican restaurant on every corner in San Antonio. Do better sir or leave the business and let someone else that understands what people want is fresh food take over. I don’t write bad reviews but the manager pushed me with his combative attitude. My advise is eat anywhere else.

I was in the mood for Cabrito and my favorite Gen AI website recommended this restaurant. Walked in around 1 PM and sat down to eat. Place was not too busy. Waiters were milling about. I had to flag one of them down to place an order. I ordered a Michelada and their Cabrito. Two minutes later to Michelada arrived and my guess is whoever made the Michelada had no idea what a Michelada is. But ignorance is not a sin. 10 minutes later, I flagged the same waiter who was just chatting with his buddy wondering where my salsa and chips were. He apologized and went and got them. Came back a few minutes later to ask me what kind of tortillas I wanted. I asked for corn. The food arrived a few minutes later. The Cabrito was good taste wise. Lots of bones, but that was to be expected. I was served literally two corn tortillas. I tried to flag the waiter again to order more tortillas, but he was nowhere to be found. Finished eating tried to flag the waiter so I can pay my bill and finally was able to leave. 20 minutes spent eating and 30 minutes spent waiting for Service. Taste wise the Cabrito was OK. But I will not be frequenting this establishment ever again.

Excellent location for 18 family members after a funeral. Service was excellent and stayed on top of our needs. Enjoyed a chili rellenos, wife had a puffy chicken taco. Also good was the guacamole, questions, and salsa. Chip bowls stayed full throughout.
