I knew it was going to be good, when I saw that I was only one of the two non-latinos in the place. I ordered 3 tacos, tinga de Pollo, Pollo adobado and beef birria. I also ordered a side of chips and guacamole. The guacamole was good, but the chips seemed a little thick, tough and crunchy. I probably won’t do those again.
But, oh, those tacos! I started with the Pollo adobado and the flavors just seemed to dance across my tongue. I next ate the birria and you know how most of the carne is usually kind of tough? Well, this one wasn’t. It was tender and flavorful. I finished with the tunga de Pollo. It was just plain chicken, so coming off of the two spiced meats, it didn’t seem to have the flavor. I think that if I had changed the order and eaten this one first, I would have had a taste progression, because there was nothing wrong with the taco, it tasted very good, it was just that my taste buds had been spoiled by the spice of the other two. I will probably be back for those tacos again. Oh, and the tortillas were hand made. In my minds eye I saw a little abuelita in the back patting out and frying each taco individually. Only the meat comes with the tacos, I added Pico and avocado to each taco for a small upcharge. They give you three sauces and a lime wedge to squeeze over each taco. Muy sabroso!

Gave it two stars just for the service. Got food to go. 8 tacos in total 4 of those were carne asada. DO NOT get that! As soon as i opened them at home it smelled BAD I didn’t eat them and told my husband that it smelled bad he had one just because he didn’t want to waste them.. today he woke up with horrible food poisoning. I have no idea as to why you would serve beef that went bad I will not be coming back. The girl at the counter was very nice when taking my order.

We came to drop off our son to Mizzou and we’re craving Mexican food. This place is great. The quesadilla de tinga de rez was phenomenal. Homemade tortillas were amazing as well. Tacos are tasty and good portion. All of finished all of the food. Glad we found a place to eat great food at Columbia!

Very reasonable prices for delicious food and great service. Very clean kitchen and dining area. We always get the tacos; every filling is great but we gravitate toward the chicken tinga, adobada, and birria. The beans are so good as well.

Pollo adobado burrito is fully loaded along with very spicy arbol and morita salsa are my personal favorite. Burrito tortilla is perfectly heated and the dish tastes exactly same every time. Serving quantities are very generous for all other dishes too.

We discovered this place by accident. I had to say that tacos were delicious. The pictures were soft tacos with marinated chicken, marinated pork, shredded beef and tostada with black beans and marinated pork. This is on our list for our next trip.

We found this authentic hidden gem by veering off our path while traveling through Missouri. Hands down the best tortillas we’re ever had! One of the staff members asked us about our travels and made the experience personal, which was a nice touch! Definitely plan on visiting again our next trip through!!

Great to-go place. Great burritos without the “Tex mex” open ended burritos but big burritos full of meat. The Adobada chicken and pork are perfect. Lengua tacos the meet is fully cooked and good flavor.
