Really enjoyed trying out El Jaripeo today. Our service was super fast. We were there at 3:30pm on a Wednesday. I can imagine it taking longer to get our food if they were busier, but that would be expected. The food was fresh even though it was the middle of the afternoon. We loved the taste of the shredded chicken, beef tips, and ground beef. The rice and beans were good. The menu has a nice variety and is priced well. They did a good job changing the look of the restaurant to its theme from being a former Country Cookin. The booths were comfortable and private. We look forward to going again.

Everyone was telling me to try this place and how great it is, so we decided to go there for my bday dinner. Well.. the waitress seemed annoyed we weren’t ready to order right away and she never came back to check on us, but she was busy on her cell phone. The food was less then mediocre, at least what we ordered. The yummy cheese sauce was thin like milk the tortillas were thick and rubbery and no flavor whatsoever. Chips were thick and greasy. I barely ate my food. This is actually how I left my plate. Manager was understanding and discounted our dinner, only reason for the second star. Going home to eat something now!

Quite a gem in Warrenton. Friendly greeting and wait staff. Seems to always draw a good crowd in the evenings.
Large serving sizes, even for kids (so come hungry). Free chips and salsa (medium spicy).
Wife got the special, “El Melaque.” She said it was fabulous. Cooked without onions or mushrooms (per request), the zucchini was fresh and cooked just right. Chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasoned.
I ordered the #17 Combination platter. Beef burrito, fried chicken chimichanga, and rice. Beef was moist and well seasoned. Chimichanga was nice and crispy with moist and flavorful chicken.
Our son ordered the Chicken Quesadilla with rice and claimed the rice was the best rice the world!!! It was the highlight of the visit, second to the endless chips.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant to visit, you won’t be disappointed!

We visited three times before I wrote this review. All different times lunch, dinner rush, right before dinner. They food quality never changed with each meal we ordered. The service was great, a little slower during the dinner rush but it was a lot more busy. The atmosphere is great. Your not sitting right on top of the table next to you, it is a little more intimate. The music is classic Mexican which lends a nice authentic feel. The place is clean, bathrooms, tables, entry. You feel good about eating here. Which brings me to the food. It has the most authentic Mexican food I have tasted from a restaurant in a long time. It taste like you walked into your Abuelita’s kitchen and she set down a plate of her home cooking. Every dish we have tried from the carnitas to the Chimichangas were delicious and would be ordered again. I also heard they have their own margarita mix. Go and give that a try you will not be disappointed.

I love this place… Even more so after getting some of there Chicken Soup! I have been sick and unable to eat a lot but let me tell you… The Chicken Soup is so good and mmmhhmmm Good Great front of the house team. Ordered to go and was ready when I arrived. Babe got the fajita salad and that was delicious too .

Good food. Pretty service. Definitely on the slow side. Good menu selection. Reading a past review, there was a server/hostess that definitely didn’t want to be there. Otherwise I’d go back. They do seem to get behind pretty quickly as the place gets filled up
