This place is one of a kind! The service was inviting and you feel like they already know you.
And don’t get me started on the food. When you eat the food melts in your mouth and you can feel the nutrients feeding your soul. This place is our new spot and a must go to for anyone thinking about it.

Nice place. We tried the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Carne Asada Plate and the Posole. Food was good. Nice service. Will need to try other food on their menu.

Came here on a Saturday morning. Restaurant wasn’t busy when we got there, but more people came in as we were leaving. Parking is easy to find.
We were a party of 7 and you seat yourself. They serve chips and salsa as appetizers. The green salsa was good while the red salsa had a smokey-like character to it. Both were watery, so its hard to enjoy the chips when they really don’t stick to the chips. They have menudo and barbacoa de res on the weekends.
I ordered a plate of barbacoa with rice and beans with coffee. The food came out fairly quickly and the portions were generous. The barbacoa was very good. Nicely cooked with bits of the fat complimenting the meat well. I believe the tortillas were hecha a mano too. The rice was good, but the beans tasted like plastic. Definitely wasn’t feeling them.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. The waitress were very nice. The owner was very welcoming. The remainder of the party ordered menudo, huevos con jamón, pancakes and huevos con chorizo. The menudo portions were very generous, a lot of meat and a big bowl. Same goes for the other plates everyone ordered. Everything was reasonably priced. I’ll definitely come back to try the other items. Just fix the flavors of the beans.

I rarely give 5 stars but this place was great. Friendly service, delicious food, refillable chips and salsa (red and green) provided, and reasonable prices. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available but indoor seating has AC. If you’re stopping in Visalia and looking for good Mexican food, I recommend this one.

You won’t leave hungry. The portions are quite large. Chili verde wet burrito! It was amazing! The sauce was better quality than I’ve seen at similar places. Bacon burger was hefty too. Yum. Staff was very friendly. Nice exterior seating too. Clean. 🙂

This was probably my 7th or 8th meal at El Jardin. I tried the Menudo today (I think it’s the best in town). I’ve never had less than a 5 Star experience here. The service is excellent, the restaurant is really clean, and the food is authentic and delicious. Dine inside or on the covered patio. El Jardin never disappoints.

Food was good a little different then what I was used to but was worth it. Prices where far for the food and it is a little small but it’s nice. Service was a tad slow but completely understandable they where a little busy when we went and they where still attentive. Would come again.

Quality was every where; from the parking lot all the way to the front counter. Very clean restroom. Service was excellent. The owner and operator greeted me at the front door. While I was waiting to be seated he introduced himself and welcomed me to his lovely restaurant. Very high-spirited individual wish more business owners could be like that. Very genuine and was happy to serve me. I felt like I did not have to wait too long to be seated but the waitress kept apologizing for the long wait. After being seated she brought red and green salsa with fresh tortilla chips. Yummy! Over all service was amazing and the food was superb. Ate lunch there for the very first time with my friend and he said, “you know it’s a great restaurant when little old Mexican ladies eat here.” -SM
