We can here on a Friday evening and we’re not disappointed. The service was fast and we got chips and drinks quickly. We then had enchiladas and fajitas and then dessert. Great tasting food and the fried ice cream is something else. We have been coming here for years and never had a bad meal. This time was excellent.

El Jardin is a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Service is super friendly and the restaurant is really fun consisting of two old homes brought together for the good funky style that makes going out a good time.

El Jardin Turlock has always had a good reputation for delicious Mexican food. Their service during the dinner hour, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You can typically expect to wait for them to take your order after at least 15 minutes. Then, you can expect another 30-1.5 for your food. So, although they have great chips and salsa and many tasty dishes, you’ll need to make sure you are not in a hurry when you dine here. There is a large patio area which Is very nice, and they do have heaters they can turn on if it gets cool. You never feel pressure to leave, so you can also expect a nice leisurely time to chat with friends if you choose, which is a plus. Note: Since originally posting this review, the service time has greatly improved. The food is good as always!

**Came back a year later and their service is still TERRIBLE! We were seated rather quickly, however, they helped everyone else who was seated AFTER us, first. After 10 minutes of watching this, I finally had to go ask someone to please provide us service. Definitely will not be returning here. Not worth it.

I think I may be a little jaded but the food was good, not great! Also, consider the fact that I had cheese enchiladas. So, yeah, I’m kinda basic. Definitely a solid Mexican food joint just nothin to write home about. The location is super cute tho. It’s like 2 houses side by side. So there’s that .

Food: Salsa was watery. Camerones diablas were really bad. The sauce was vinegary and had thick onion slices that you couldn’t cut with a fork. My wife’s sopa was good so I’m not going to give 1 star. Salsa was worst I’ve ever had perhaps. El Pollo Loco has better salsa. Very small salsa cups you can’t even get your chip into.

This place is wonderful the employees are wonderful as well. the only thing that is an issue is if you’re going to eat outside on a hot day be ready to be swarmed by the fly’s. I know this is something that is unavoidable so it doesn’t have anything to do with the restaurant but the flies will land everywhere if you sit outside on a hot day. Just a heads up. But once again it is not the fault of the restaurant.

I ordered a tostada supreme salad. She’ll was small and not much filling. My son ordered a shrimp and cheese quesadilla. I came like a small enchilada covered in green sauce. We kept having to track down waitress to order and refill of drink. Price was expensive for the quality and quality of food.
