This place is awesome and my new favorite Mexican restaurant. We were immediately greeted and brought chips and salsa. From the friendly and attentive staff, to the clean establishment. With food portions that are large for the price. My food was hot and delicious. I ordered the jumbo watermelon margarita it was so large I had to get help drinking it. I will definitely return and recommend El Jalisco if you are looking for great Mexican food for an excellent price with a laid back vibe you should give this spot a shot.

My family absolutely loves this restaurant! Everyone working there is super friendly and their food is amazingly tasty! We have 5 kiddos and each one of them loves this place, theres truly something for everyone’s taste buds here and the staff is never annoyed at our large group or our toddler who never stops moving and can be a little messy with the rice. We highly reccomend!!

Food was fresh and hot. We’ll be returning to the one in Murphysboro. To be honest I can’t say that about the one in pinckneyville. Actually I do not recommend the one in pinckneyville. I got food poisoning from the 1 in pinckneyville. It was a couple years ago but it made me so sick I don’t even like driving by it in pinckneyville

Not a friendly atmosphere. My dad was paying for the meal and the door was locked due to them assuming we were going to walk out? They profiled us. It’s illegal to lock restaurant doors from the inside due to emergencies like fire hazard. Owner needs a talk to their staff. Won’t be back and will discourage anyone that thinks about going here.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Murphysboro! It is a great place to eat delicious, well-seasoned food! Customer service is excellent, and prices are fair.
The decor is beautiful. So far, I have tried the Street taco platter, horchata, El Jalisco with rice, cheese, shrimp, steak, chicken, and the Super Nacho. I will return often. Please keep the service and quality up!

They say it’s the best Mexican restaurant in town and they seriously mean it. If I could rate 10 stars I would. This place is my go to in Southern Illinois for good fajitas and burritos, I highly recommend a madello or a margarita with your meal as well. The food is amazing the service is fast and reliable and they always make you feel at home.
