I’ll edit with photos when I can.. but I’m normally LOVE El Jalapeño but today is the 3rd time I’ve pulled in the drive through and the food wasn’t set in the bag right so all the cheese sauce dumped to the bottom of the bag (we get 2 nacho locos with chips on the side). We spend roughly $40 on food to have it covering the bottom of the bag and everything is covered in cheese sauce.
Drive through service is absolutely horrible and won’t be back if this isn’t made right.

I got enchiladas combo which the chicken didnt have much of any seasoning. The rice i didnt care for, but my friends have told me since to go back and try something else. So might give another go still. The kid ate most of his food, hes picky to begin with.

Welcome to El Jalapeño Mexican Restaurant! My first visit here and as soon as i pulled up i knew it was going to be good because i could smell the food. I didn’t go inside this time but wow it was lunch and they weee hopping.. They offer great bar drinks to go also and it all looked great.. the desserts are amazing! There is online ordering and convenient drive thru .. but it looks like a fun place to visit inside too

Ive been coming here for over 3 years. Lately I go once a week. I always ask for the hotter salsa. I usally get tacos but have enjoyed everything I have eaten! Highly recommended!

I was there for a late lunch on my favorite day, Taco Tuesday!
They did have a taco special, but it was only tacos. No rice, no beans… Hmmm. So I ordered 2 tacos and a side of rice.
The chips and salsa were only okay. The salsa got better when I doctored it with some of the hot sauce that was on the table. Still not great, but edible.
Likewise, the tacos were okay. There was PLENTY of onion on them, but other than that, nothing special. They weren’t seasoned well. Maybe too Americanized?
The rice was very good, but do NOT add salt without tasting it first. I love salt and add it to almost everything. This did not need any more. Again, I loved it, just proceed with caution.
I really wanted this to be my new go-to restaurant in Greenville. They have good ratings. Maybe I picked a bad day, or maybe they’re trying too hard to cater to Tex-Mex. I’m not sure. Overall, I’ll try again, but I’ll ask for a recommendation from the server.

I was taken here for dinner by an ex. This has to be the best shrimp fajita burrito Ive ever tasted! A huge shrimp hit the floor and I wanted to cry lol. Seasoned perfectly! He ordered the 3 enchiladas combo and enjoyed it. The strawberry margarita tasted exactly as expected

Amazing food and even better service. This is my new go to place for authentic Mexican cusine. You will never leave hungry as the portions are huge. I would highly recommend giving El Jalapeño Mexican Restaurant a try, you will not regret it. And the drinks are the best in the area.

Food was amazing and authentic. All white meat in their flautas and fajitas. Steak in the fajitas was free of fat AND was mostly meat not just veggies . Great service and very clean. Happy with our experience.
