This place has gone down hill. They’re now serving bread with mold, the menudo tastes bland. And what’s up with the hominy? They look like they’re on steroids and it tastes different.

Welp, time to go back to Mr. Menudo.

Used to come here all the time years ago because the menudo was good but these last two times the flavor has changed and meat wasn’t tender at all , felt like I was chewing on rubber . Early morning within an hour of opening the lady at the register was arguing with a customer , he told her when the owner passed away this place changed its values and raised its prices which makes sense because $20 for a flimsy bowl of under cooked menudo is definitely not worth it . Spent $60 for 2 large menudos , 2 cokes and bolillo , just to get home and realize the bolillo was stale and had mold…
So disappointing!!!

Undeniably one of the best menudo restaurants I’ve ever had in greater Los Angeles County. Very soft belly tripe and unique spicy and savory flavor.

I was there this morning, I understand the situation we all have to take care of (COVID-19) but this is something we need to live, anyway because this situation doesn’t mind they have to serve anything they want, the photo of lemons looks like they grabbed from the trash, next time if i come back i will check my items before I leave, guys be aware. I’m customer for years already but don’t abuse to your customers totally disappointed sorry.

The absolute best menudo. I’d give the resturant 5-stars, but it’s located is a little rough neighborhood on Long Beach Blvd. Lynwood.

Best menudo. Didnt like the fact that they changed the foam container to a a plastic one to take menudo. It gets cold faster than a paper foam container. Plastic containers are kind of messy when you removed the lid

I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly by a staff member. I was driving from LA to OC and had to make an emergency restroom stop. I have a health condition. I am a single mom and my infant was asleep, I had to bring her in. I asked to use the restroom and was then belittled and embarrassed for over 5 minutes as the woman working the counter told me I could not use the bathroom. She told me I couldn’t go in because I had a child with me, and I said I’d hold her. She rudely asked if I had someone to help me with her and how was I going to hold her to which I responded “I’m a single mom. I don’t have anyone and I do it all the time.” She told me I couldn’t go in because I wasn’t a customer. I told her I would happily buy something after I used the bathroom and that I needed to go immediately as I have a health condition and I was just on the freeway and stopped here because it was the next exit. This went on for what felt like ages until she finally let me go to the bathroom. Once I came out I realized I didn’t have any cash so I asked where the nearest ATM was. She started yelling at me that “she knew it” and woke up my daughter. I was furious and embarrassed beyond belief. For her information the closest ATM is across the street, which I drove to, took money out of and gave the staff a $20 tip. This woman CONTINUED to yell at me after I tipped her telling me “I don’t understand business”. I did not want to further escalate the situation so I left but I believe she will see this review, so you know I have a masters in business so I have the understanding that treating people with basic decency is a better business practice than what your “establishment” has going on. I hope you have the day you deserve and that you learn from this experience to be less judgmental of people.
