The food was really good and came out quickly, which was a nice bonus. It wasn’t busy when we went, so everything felt relaxed and easy. No complaints at all.
I would definitely come back and recommend it if you’re looking for good Mexican food with a welcoming, laid-back vibe.
I went with a friend for a casual dinner, and we ordered a mix: tacos al pastor, a hearty chicken fajita plate, and chips with salsa and queso as a starter. Everything arrived fresh, with generous portions and seasonings that hit the right notes — smoky, a bit spicy, and deeply comforting. I especially loved the tacos: the tortillas were soft yet sturdy, the meat well-marinated, and the salsa brought everything together. The fajitas came sizzling, flavorful, and with rice and beans on the side — it was the kind of meal that leaves you full, satisfied, and wishing for a second plate.
What stood out most was how unpretentious and friendly the whole place feels. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth, suggested dishes when we hesitated, and didn’t treat us like newcomers. The ambiance is relaxed — good for a laid-back dinner after a long day, a catch-up with friends, or a casual family meal. It didn’t feel rushed: we sipped our drinks, talked, and lingered over dessert without hurry.
If I were to nit-pick, I’d say parking around the area can be a bit tight, and when it gets busy the place feels bustling — which isn’t bad, but if you want a quiet meal maybe come a bit earlier. But honestly, those are minor trade-offs for what you get: generous portions, solid flavor, and a genuinely warm vibe.
When we ordered the waiter asked my wife and I if we wanted shredded chicken or grilled chicken with her Fajita Salad and my La Changa. We asked if it was included and the waiter said yes. Then he asked me if I wanted cheese dip on my La Changa which the menu said was included. He verified it was so I said yes again.
The food did not arrive together but we still enjoyed our meals. Then the wait began for a check. I am normally a good tipper leaving 25-30% for good service with a minimum of 20% but after waiting forever for a check the cashier tells us we can pay at the register. I said we have not received a check yet but she had the info at the register. She says “that will be $25.94”. It sounded high so I said “can I see the bill please?” This may be the first time I have had someone ask for money without showing me the bill. The salad increased from $8.99 to $10.49 and the La Changa had an additional charge for $3.50 because of the grilled chicken. I told her the waiter said it was included but she refused to credit it and the waiter was no longer around. Rather than argue with her about it I voted with my wallet and took it out of the tip. I hate stiffing the waiter but he told us it was included. They can work it out between themselves but I will never go back to this place again.
