El Huarache De Doña Cehla, the name might be long and a little hard to pronounce, but the food is as authentic as it gets! Came here for brunch and really enjoyed our meal. I had the breakfast burrito with egg and chorizo, and it was hearty, flavorful, and super satisfying. Also tried their lime drink, which was refreshing and hit the spot.
The owner provided great service and made us feel right at home. Located right in the downtown area of El Monte, this spot is definitely worth a visit if you’re craving real Mexican comfort food. Will be back!

Hot homemade Mexican food! Comida corrida or the daily special include a side of fideo, not heavily seasoned but very tasty and made from scratch. Had the chipotle albóndigas and an asada torta, very filling. The staff took or order promptly and were checked in on several times during our short visit. Lost of take out orders while we were there, popular local lunch spot! Will come back for breakfast.

This is one of those places that I would consider a hole in the wall. They have two different locations in the same place. I guess the city didnt let them open the wall and we’re able to open a door only. Anyways great place, staff is friendly and tentative. Atmosphere is great and food was extremely great. I enjoyed some chilaquiles which were not made of tortilla but chips. Either way the sauce they had were great. My was got the huarache and she loved it. My daughter got a pambaso and she enjoyed it as well. My small niece loved her quesadilla. Overall 9 out of 10 highly recommend they do have a big menu, but the waiter is knowledgeable I’m helping you what to choose.

My family and I tried El Huarache and loved it so much that we ate there three nights in a row! Everything we tried was delicious: the chilaquiles, the cheese enchiladas, and the huaraches especially. Truly authentic and divine. Everyone who works there is so kind also. We plan on returning!

I came in to get some sopes. They were about 11 bucks. I didn’t know if it was because it comes like a platter, but it’s not. It’s just for 1 sope. When I came home to look at it, it was a pretty big sope it has flavor and well seasoned. I thought it was a Lil pricey for just 1 sope if it was maybe 2, it would be reasonable, but all in all, I would come back to try something else.

There are so many Mexican joints it is difficult to attempt to persuade you to come. I cannot do that. You just have to take a risk. I am certain you will not be disappointed.
