Took my family here last Friday, and I could that tell my kids were cautious about trying “something different”. I wanted to encourage their support of locally/minority owned business, and so in we went. Really glad we did, everyone loved it. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive from the get-go. The atmosphere, while spotless, could use improvement – the seating and lighting just doesn’t match the high quality of the food and service. I will be back!

I’ve tried a good portion of the menu, and they never miss. The salads are unexpectedly amazing—so fresh and flavorful. If you want comfort food, the pot roast paired with those heavenly mashed potatoes is a must-order; it’s like a hug on a plate. The shrimp pasta is another standout that I find myself craving constantly.
Beyond the food, the vibe is just right. They play the best music, and the employees are genuinely attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a spot that nails the food, the service, and the atmosphere all at once. Highly recommend!

The Butternut Salad was delicious! Curry flavor was perfect and this was a new and fresh blend of flavors. Our young server was friendly and very helpful. We will absolutely be back to this unexpected gem.

Atmosphere is a 5 because it’s a pizza joint in a strip mall. It’s functional and clean, but not fancy. All pizzas are 16″, 6 slice, pies. I had the number 6 and it was colorful and tasty. The dipping sauce was really good and a bit spicy (perfect for me). If I were back in Minneapolis area again I would absolutely stop here. Nice people, good food, and I emphasize clean. Beer (bottle or tap), wine, as well as canned sodas and juice.

So excited that friends shared this gem with us! Everything tasted delicious and fresh. We had the winter salad which is a great combo of greens, fennel, apple, almonds, blue cheese, and an olive oil dressing. The garlic bread was perfectly cheesy with tons of fresh garlic. We ordered the pepperoni and Hawaiian pizzas which were fantastic. The sauce is nicely balanced and we loved the wood fired crust. They had some unique flavors such as the carne asada pizza our friend got. They have some kind of zesty ranch which is also delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

This was the best tasting pizza I’ve ever had in the twin cities Minnesota. The crust of the pizzas are fantastic. It was so flavorful and tasty. The staff is so sweet and nice and wait on your table ask about your day and your meal. The cooks are nice too.

The pizza was great! Crispy with zero flop when you pick up a slice. They have the best spicy ranch and overall quality of ingredients in pizza. Accidentally saw this place on Google maps but now I’m definitely coming back! Me and my friend got 2 pizzas and 2 drinks and it came out to be a little less than $50. We both were full and satisfied. If you like pizza definitely check this place out!

100% legit pizza!!! I lived in Sicily for three years and have not tasted any pizza anything close to my Sicilian days… This pizza was so perfect!! It has clear Italian roots with a Mexican flair!!! Take note all you “pizza” shop wannabes, you cannot have real pizza without fresh ingredients!!! El Hornito set the bar so high it will be unattainable for most others!!! There is an absolute reason this restaurant has 4.9 stars, they love what they do!!!

Wow! We loved this meal and were so impressed with place. More than your basic salads… delicious and fresh. Gooey delicious garlicky cheese bread. Light and bright sauce on the margarita.
Really nice dine in experience. Lovely staff! (Shoutout to Annette!!) Affordable, too. We had two pizzas, two salads, and 2 sodas for $52!!
