I’ve always wanted to try this burger, but the location is tricky to reach. When I first got inside, I wasn’t expecting much. The burger arrived, and I was actually concerned, but as soon as I took the first bite, I understood why the place has so many good reviews. I ordered the Swiss Burger, and the meat was very tasty. I asked for a side of fries and a side of lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, and everything tasted great. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, and I would definitely come back for another burger.

We heard about El Hamburguer from our Uber driver. We went around 7pm on a Sunday and ended up waiting 30 minutes in line. They are efficient with taking orders and turning over customers — there is one line for dine in, and they let you in as tables clear up. You can also go to the front if you’re doing takeout or want to dine at the counter.
The menu is simple — hamburger with your choice of cheese and other toppings; vegetables not included. I got the American cheese hamburger with vegetables, and an orange juice. The burger patty was very round and tall compared to what I’m used to. It was pretty good, and had a slight grilled flavor, but it didn’t blow me away. The vegetables were fresh and good. The OJ tasted a little watered down but was refreshing in the no AC interior.
The fries were fresh and the nuggets were decent. I wouldn’t come back, but it was cool to visit a place that has such a legacy in San Juan!

Non GMO! This is what you call a burger , this is how it should be…. FACTS “R”US ‼️ I definitely had to go back a second day because EL Hamburger was in my dreams ….. You definitely have to go if you go to Puerto Rico O! The Yuca fries will hook you! Ven a comer‼️Get the experience and satisfaction of a good burger worth every penny!

The wait line is outside of the main entrance door. Great traditional burgers. Juicy. Not burnt. Quick service, once seated. Great pricing in a tourist area. We did a side of onion rings to add onto our bacon burger.
We walked from the parking garage and the views along the beach were very nice. One bathroom each for male and female.

My first time here was 60 years ago. And the hamburgers are still good. Service is great and it’s fun to watch the grilling from a counter seat when things get pretty hectic.
Not much has changed. A real nostalgic burger joint. Not to be missed if you are a tourist or not.
From Old San Juan you can walk here on a paved path along the ocean(about 1.2 miles). A little longer from Condado. They do have a small, well run free parking lot with an attendant.

Price is pretty affordable (relative to the area). Burgers are kinda small in diameter (for us folks with big hands) but more than make up for it with beef patty chonkiness.
Driving out from the restaurant can be difficult given the traffic in the area, if you have the time, park somewhere a little farther away, and then walk over.

Can’t beat the prices honestly. Service was good, the menus are on the wall so if you want to look at the menu check other reviews. Burger was average (besides being a big meatball!) and fries were too, but can’t beat the open air and atmosphere.

Such a neat spot. The burger comes as a giant ball and had a great grill/char flavor but as an fyi, it is plain ground beef. Imo could use some seasoning in there but it still tasted good! Other toppings are extra. Recommend getting bacon, they give a nice helping. Fries were great.

Cheeseburger was delicious and the sweet potato fries. A lot of people order 2 burgers that go and eat there. I had the 2 sangria for $8 and it was good! The place is busy and has a line during peak time. The wait wasn’t long. It’s a must try if you come to San Juan!
