The star of the show is the pozole verde. This pozole is so hearty and delicious. I have never had anybody pack avocado, and lettuce for my pozole order. They also give you 3/4 of a whole lime, radishes, cilantro, and onion. The restaurant is small and even though we’ve dined in before, this time we took it to go. The first time we dined in I got the chilaquiles and my husband got the menudo. He is very picky about his menudo so I didn’t know how his experience was going to go. He loved it so much that he already recommended it to his dad. The chilaquiles were crunchy and the egg was cooked to perfection where the yolk was runny and the edges were crispy. Don’t even get me started with the tortillas hecho a mano, my son ate both tortillas that came with our order. My husband ordered the camarones a la diabla (photo attached). I’m not trying to challenge you but my husband can definitely handle his spice so by the time when he was almost done, he was huffing and puffing but also scooping up the sauce with the tortilla chips because it was just too good to leave behind.

It’s a small place but good sized menu. Had a pastor and a carne taco, ingredients were fresh and I’m pretty sure the tacos are made in house. The salsa bar had many choices from a Verde to a Habanero, I think.

We were traveling north on the I-5 and wanted to get some Mexican food. We found this place and it was incredible! There is no Mexican food like the kind you find in Southern California and this place did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and try the California burrito.

I had the machaca breakfast plate. It was really good. The salsa bar was on point with six different ones. They also gave me handmade tortillas. This is a new favorite spot. I have to come back and try other things.

Great Mexican food!! We came here craving authentic Mexican food and this little gem did not disappoint. Have already been here twice in the past 2 weeks. If you are looking for real Mexican food with a home-cooked feel to it, come here! The ladies at the counter and waitresses are all so friendly too. We showed up after 7:30 on Cinco de Mayo and it was packed! Since it’s so small, there were not any tables available, but the gal at the counter let us know that one guy at a table was taking his food to go. She made sure to get his order asap so we could sit. We really appreciated that since my guys just finished baseball and were pretty tired.

You have to order and pay before sitting down apparently, that’s annoying. Anyways I ordered the carnitas platter and it was a lot of food! Really good and definitely left happy. The waitress was really nice and although we were outside made sure to check on us which I thought she wouldn’t do to much.
